Love the Arron Asham signing by the New York Rangers. He's a useful, tough player. Fits their mold to a "T" Would have been a good Bruin

This.......of course some Ranger fans hate him he's played for every team in the division and his job is to be a dink
I mentioned he may be a good fit. Fine with it since its a million per

Meh...
Not my first choice but at least he comes cheap..
Didn't he Get a few game suspension in the SC series?
Has he sit out the suspension so he can play from the Get go or is he still under suspension?

Love this signing. I think I'd rather Tootoo but I'm still happy.

The fact that you the fan of a rival team can't stand him speaks well for his effectiveness. Good signing. He's a better fighter than Prust with better skills. Will not kill penalties though.

He's a fine 4th liner on a fine deal. I just hate the guy.

Nice signing. I was worried that we would make a reactionary signing and overpay a 4th liner like we did after we let Orr go and after we let Brash go. Asham is one of the best pound for pound fighters in the league.

Love the Pruster... but you can't be paying a guy 2 million+ to pot 5 goals. This is the right type of player at the right price.
Fine with it.
Welcome aboard, A.A.

He takes a lot of bad penalties. Thats another downside.
And where is TSN with this news?

A few years back, I played a game in Asham's "home rink" in Portage la Prairie,MB. As a lifelong Rangers fan, I was seriously freaked out by the giant mural of him in an Isles jersey at the end of the rink. Threw me off my game!

First thought that came to mind when I saw he was signed.

Yeah he fills the role, he's cheap, and I admit he fits. I don't have to like him though.

**** this.
We let go of Mitchell to get this goon? Are you kidding me? Sather has gone full retard. This feeling is almost on par with signing Brashear after he cheap shot Betts.

I like this deal. I think fans will love him once he gets in the jersey and plays the way he does.
Having said that, Slats should go after McClement for the 4th line. I think he'd fit in pretty well.
Rupp-McClement-Asham would be nice.
