Well, my 20th birthday is tomorrow. Hopefully Don gives me a present in the form of an exciting acquisition!

It would not be Toronto

I think if Don Maloney asked kindly, he could get Lombardi from Toronto for free. They have no role for him or room for his salary.
If they didn't have overpaid and under used resources. Someone has to provide the bad example.

Damn, Mikael Samuelsson for Detroit for 2 years, $6 million. I was hoping he'd stick around as a potential Doan replacement.

Detroit has brought Mikael Samuelsson back and has offers out to both Parise and Suter. Pretty safe to assume Hudler is not in their plans.

Today was a frenzy but nothing really really great in our favor. I know the cup isn't won on free agency but what you do in free agency is just as important.
Pathetic, unreal, no justice in the world. I can only hope the next few days are better for us.

Have a good last few hours of your teenage years. Hope you get what you wish for, or at least an acquisition that doesn't end up hurting us. And Doan back on board. Weird not seeing him on the roster.

The FA class is weak outside the couple top guys so mediocre players are getting big contracts. I don't see DM getting sucked into that. We have some quality, young dmen that will be attractive to all the teams that lose the Suter sweepstakes. I actually hope Carolina signs both Parise and Suter if they don't resign with their own teams. That keeps them out of the west and away from Detroit, NY and Pitt.

I must admit, today has been pretty depressing as for as Coyotes transactions go. I'm sure tomorrow will be better.

I am so glad we are no longer in the market for defensemen when it comes to free agency.

Is there a team that is really happy with their work so far?
You know besides, maybe...
....
.....
Columbus?
Edit: I must have made a mistake. That has to be wrong. Just ignore that.

Like many D are waiting on Suter, maybe Hudler is waiting on Parise.

**** today. I was looking forward to Italy winning, Whitney resigning, and getting 1-2 solid FA.
0 happened.

I mean, I'm sure behind the scenes there is a lot of work being done, but from the outside it just sounds funny.
One bottom-six signing and an AHL goaile, call it a day.
Wonder if GMDM is waiting for things to clear up so he can see who needs what via trade.

Could still trade for someone like Derek Roy, Matthew Lombardi, or Hemsky.
Could still sign guys like Hudler, Jagr, Sullivan, Kostitsyn, Huselius, or Jokinen.

Think Sullivan and Poni are two players on our short list.
Hudler is the big ticket item.
Maloney has stated that he may have to deal for someone, so let's just see where we end up at a few days in here....

Really hope we get Hudler. Would fit perfect with Hanzal and Vrbata.

Well, if he really was living off JT then either PA or his agent is VERY smart because he landed in a place where he can likely do the same thing.

Yeah, and if we only offered Whitney 1 year there is almost no way I can see us landing him then. I think it's going to be Sullivan if its a FA at all. Otherwise were going back to the old fall back of trying to swing a Lombardi trade like Langkow last season.
