I had a dream last night we traded Yandle to Toronto.

Hopefully I'm not psychic.

Yandle didn't play in college, we should be fine.

Anyone have thought about Petr Sykora or Kyle Wellwood? Both put up solid numbers, and would be good for a 1 or 2 year deal to bump up some salary.

I know I am going to get grilled on this one, but what about Gormley and Korpi to EDM for RNH and Ryan Jones?

Jones played PK in EDM, so we would gain some of that experience back. May need a pick to cross paths, but that seems like a return that could be lived with...

Not a Wellwood fan here, Sykora would be a decent option if they can't grab Sullivan or someone else better in a trade.

They'd want OEL instead. They might still say no. We definitely would.

Hockey Buzz Eklund ‏@Eklund
Hearing Vancouver and Gilbert Brule. That coul be a very quiet solid under-the-radar signing if it indeed pans out to be true

Not nearly enough for RNH.

Maybe if Gormley was already playing and doing very well in the NHL they'd consider it, or at least not let out a hearty laugh as they hang up on Maloney, but I don't see them trading their best center. All they'd be doing is filling one hole and opening another.

I think Sykora would be a nice pickup on a short term deal. He's been a scorer his whole career and even though he has a lot of miles on his legs, he's still only 35. Not sure if he'd sign here but I'd be for it.

#5. The Oilers or Stars will sign Jagr. Although the Coyotes will make a last minute offer.

To be fair, at least this one is titled as a prediction blog and not rumors. but don't forget number 10 on that list:

As long as they don't mind giving up Filppula, Tatar, Pulkkinen, Jurco, Frk, and a first. Haha.

#RedWings still have offer out to UFA F Zach Parise, but if can't get him, will go hard after UFA F Shane Doan July 9.

Worst possible scenario right there. Boooooo

As for Wellwood, we tried that experiment a few years ago (camp tryout). Didn't work out and I doubt they go back to it.

Also, news now that Pyatt has signed with NYR.

Dallas signs Jagr. Too fragile for my tastes but damn, need to find some skill somewhere.

I see that Jagr signed with the Stars, they'll have a new look... Whitney Roy Jagr ... a new line for them.

You guys are having a rough off season. Shane Doan should stay in PHX, but given all the departures I think he may leave.

Dallas is pulling out all the stops. I have serious respect for what they are doing right now. Ribeiro looked weird at the time but Roy+Whitney is way better than just Ribeiro.

Pyatt is probably a good fit with the Rangers. Played well in the playoffs here and NY could use some of that even if they have to carry him the regular season.

Gary Bettman, why hold back GMDM? What did he ever do wrong in this process that he can't make the moves he needs to?

I mean if you're going to get the owners back all of its money back no matter what, then at least let him make the moves he needs to so we can have another deep playoff run. Didn't occur to you that maybe we could have been in the WCF for 3 straight seasons if you didn't hold him back? Maybe Mike Richards would have been a difference in us winning a cup this season instead of LA, if we could have made a deal to get him?

So far we've lost Whitney and we are yet to see what the replacement will be.

Pyatt is no loss. Horribly inconsistent and flat out worthless in the regular season. Moss is an upgrade.

Adrian Aucoin is done. He will need extremely limited minutes and A LOT of games off to keep from hitting a wall half way through the year like he did with us. He's not more than a 7th D on a decent team. Any of Schlemko, Summers, Stone, Rundblad or Gormley is an upgrade.

Aucoin we can do without.

Pyatt was better in the playoffs, especially vs LA.

At the rate we are going, we may not even replace Whitney.
