I'm not sure what some people's expectations for a 6th dman are, but Boulls will fill the role with ease.
What you mean perhaps is; Bouillon is filling that role with ease.
Which is true. At least in my opinion.

But you make it sound like it was a forgone conclusion. Not everyone
steps up their game in their mid to late thirties. Some players his age
actually slow down.

He's a 6th dman, he could do it again next year.

Agreed. He looks as good as I've ever seen him.
But getting old is very individual. So I don't like to look too far ahead.

I'm really hoping that Tinordi can fill Bouillion's role next year, that plus a Kaberle buyout would give us a D that looks like this:

Markov-Emelin
Subban-Gorges
Tinordi-Diaz

I think that line up looks pretty solid, I just don't have confidence in a guy who will be 38 next season and is 5'8...

Boullion has been good, but I never, ever, want to see Boullion-Gorges again. They have zero ability to keep the puck and not enough speed or strength to make up for being consistently outplayed.

The two of them might have all the heart in the world..but when you are lacking everything else, that's not enough.

So, when he's not playing next to that stud d-man of ours, Bouillon looks like trash. Hmm, who would'va seen that?

You're saying it like it's obvious, but I don't know that anybody actually called it.

My second post on the last page, in bold.

Next to Subban everyone looks good.
