I don't mind this signing, he brings value to any team. However, he doesn't correspond to our needs (to get a tough, sandpaper, defensive DMAN).

In fairness, Bouillon's a warrior and he's a very solid, veteran bottom pairing guy. 1.5 M cap hit is a good cap hit too.

But yeah, I would have preferred someone bigger (but also with sandpaper) to make our D a bit tougher.

But ah well, it could be a lot worse. He's a much better fit for us than Campoli was.

Tinordi 6'7 and Beaulieu 6'3 might have a chance to crack the weak lineup of dman.

They are bigger than the myth.

Another move that makes me worry. We need size and power on the back end. We also need space to give a young guy or two an opportunity. I did like Bouillon when he was here, so I hope it will work, but I am not sure I understand what the Habs are doing today. We need guys like Konopka, Prust, Carkner, but get Armstrong and Bouillon? Not very happy...

You should let it go, we're still the smurf team despite our roster going through big changes. I don't mind, it'll just be that much better when the Smurfs roll over their teams.

Kind of surprising. I guess this is the day players go back to old teams. First Corvo back to Carolina (again) and now Bouillon back to Montreal.

Not too bad of a price. I just didn't think Bouillon is what Montreal needed. He's small and is a bit older. Mobile though.

So the Habs now have:

Gorges
Subban
Emelin
Weber
Diaz
Markov
Kaberle
Bouillon

That's a lot of defensemen, a lot of of question marks....

Trade coming?

Oh and good to have "Chicken" Bouillon back!

Weber's probably done. He's clearly not cracking a lineup with Markov, Subban and Kaberle as puck moving Ds.

Our 3rd pairing should be Kaberle/Bouillon. I saw worse ^_^.
