Our 3rd pairing should be Kaberle/Bouillon. I saw worse ^_^.
Emelin>Boullion for me personally

Bouillon plays a lot bigger than he is; he's like a more disciplined Tootoo in many respects. That's not to say he is anything more than a reasonable #6 or #7 blueliner, but he's definitely shown some grit and toughness in Nashville. He's also pretty mobile which gives you some flexibility in pairing options.

For $1.5M, I think MTL did pretty well.

Of course.

Emelin's going to be paired with Markov.

Ends up being Markov-Emelin, Gorges-Subban, Kaberle-Bouillon.

I can dig that.

This doesn't surprise me. Last week Bergevin kept saying that a team can't have enough NHL calibre defencemen. They're the first to go out with injuries and they're hard to replace halfway through the season without losing assets.

Good depth signing. And if markov is not yet in shape in September, or any other guys are injured, Bouillon can do the job. Actually, I would see him playing with Subban if needed.

I can see Subban/Bouillon duet. Keep your head up. I'm pretty sure if some team like NY Islanders, Colorado Avalanche can't sign a d-man someone will ask the price for one of Markov, Kaberle and Weber

As long as he is played by meritocracy, then I guess it's ok. I'd have him #7 or 8 on the current depth chart, and depth on D is important. He'll have to earn a place in the starting lineup, though, I don't think he's capable, but injury attrition is always a factor. The Habs still need to sign a D they can lean on for bigger minutes, however.

I'd have kept Bouillon as more of a Plan C guy for a few days from now, however, not rushed out to sign him on Day 1.

Somtimes i wonder if you people watch hockey. Bouillon may be short, but he's a ****ing bulldog. He's one of the tougher players in the league easily.

Agreed, not to mention he's about 200 pounds which isn't small in the least, hits everything that moves and defends his teammates.

I've got no problem with this signing.

While I'm not a Bouillon fan or a fan of this signing this post shows that you clearly have no idea what you're talking about. What style does Bouillon play?

The Emelin-Markov pairing was a nightmare at the end of the season. There's definitely a spot up for grabs there, but really it's anyone's guess for who a fill it (Tinordi maybe?).

Glad to see Bouillon go back to Montreal, but man this guy is getting fragile. He played like his old self in the playoffs this year so hopefully for you Habs fans, he stays like that. The bouillon from the regular season though, not so pretty.

Not very happy...
Armstrong can be physical and has scoring potential. Bouillon is a workhorse who will occasionally fight. And Prust was just signed!

Not his fault he was given extensive PP time he didn't deserve, indeed.
