Come on, you people, sign so we can see if we get Jagr, or not.

I can't even find any compilations for the new guys....

Pacioretty-Plekanec-Jagr
Bourque-Desharnais-Cole
Moen-Eller-Gionta
Prust-Noekeleinen-White/Armstrong

Only problem is there's no real shutdown line, the makings of one but I don't feel at this stage in his career Gionta makes the most sense there.

Please make this happen though.

Pacioretty/Bourque Plekanec Jagr

Prust White Armstrong

Id love to have Bourque on a line with Cole.
Bourque would have to follow Cole intensity or Cole will let him know.

The problem with this line-up is that both Jagr and Gionta have spent their careers playing right wing. As has Eric Cole. With Jagr in the lin-up, off our 4 top-six wingers, 3 of them play the right side.

There's no way in hell I'm separating Patch/DD/Cole. No matter who we sign. It's not a smart move.

One half season or so stretch where the rest of the team produces zero offence at all and the Habs solidify themselves a bottom 3 pick and the line is inseparable?

It's not Geoff Molson who's holding back. I bet Montreal offered Jagr the 4M or 4.5M that he wants, and now we're just waiting for Jagr to give his answer. I guarantee Montreal isn't being cheap.

2 of the 3 of them played their first full seasons in the NHL...isn't it to be expected that tehy'd have career years?

Cole was never ''useless'' by the way. He just got off to a slow start with a new team. Right from the get go he was providing speed, forecheck and hitting. Anyone who has watched hockey for any length of time, and him specifically knew he'd come around.

Unfortunately, if Jagr wants to play for us as bad as he is apparently supposed to, I think he would have already signed with us.

I think he's waiting for a team like Detroit or Pittsburgh to lose out on the big fish and then come calling to swoop him up.

Parise and Suter are supposed to sign today, I'm assuming that as soon as they're gone then we're going to see a flood of smaller signings, including Jagr.

Hate to break it to you but the Habs are broken and need fixing. One of their issues is lack of offensive depth. If loading up one line failed last year why try it again? There's no reason why you can't try out a more spread out top 6. Absolutely no downside.

So apparently Bergevin has a Presser scheduled and has delayed it twice today now?

Anyone else hear anything about this?

Something must be coming

the goal is to make pleky's line better without hurting the desharnais line. if david's line can put up the same number of points with bourque as opposed to cole for example then go right ahead if it makes the pleky line more productive. if it doesn't then keep the first line in tact and find other players from within or outside the organization to improve the pleks line.

No, the goal is to create a more deep and even team.

Who cares how many points the Desharnais line was or is producing? The rest of the team was doing nothing.
