So what's Pittsburgh's angle here?

We're going to try win every game 12-11? Because that defense is rat piss and Fleury is......wow.

The Penguins are trying to cement themselves as the best offensive team in hockey.
And defensively...well.

Thoughts:
-The Rangers loaded up on goons. Shanahan better have a direct line to NY.
-Boulton to the Islanders. They're like a dog under our dinner table, eating all our scraps.
-That Souray contract is stunningly, mind-bogglingly bad, in dollars and especially in term.
-You know the market is tight when you see 4th liners getting multiple years.

what i find funny is parise has owned fleury throughout his career, since the world juniors i believe

between james neal bashing our attendance and paul martin bashing the organization, and now potentially getting parise..i will be so disgusted

Even though I don't know a thing about her, she knows what she signed up for when she agreed to marry a pro athlete, though.
Several of the owners of these teams (Flyers, Pens, Wing) have enormous reach and pull not just locally, but within a lot of business and political circles. They can make calls and have her in somewhere in under 5 minutes.

I think she will definitely get a strong influence into Zach's decision considering they are getting married in under 3 weeks now.

Shouldn't be a surprise with Mario Lemieux and Shero running the team. I'm sure Pierre has some input as well.

NJ's teaching certificates require more credentials than any other state in the nation.

If you have a NJ certification, all you have to do is apply for another in the state you live in and you'll get it without any issues.

Why would you get rid of Visnovsky for 3 years of Souray?

Also said the teams in the mix are Philly, Pittsburgh, Minnesota and Carolina. New Jersey is out.

Whoever this guy is said we are out of the Parise talks and he talked to his agent or something.

You can exceed the cap by 10% in the summer but I also think they pitched offers knowing it's unlikely they'd get both players anyway but were hoping for one.

Just because someone has the lofty credentials required to sign up for a Twitter account, doesn't mean they are instantly a hockey "insider". Idiots.

He's also a biased Penguins fan...you have incarcerated bob and hockeyyinsider both saying Pittsburgh is a done deal....ironic that he is probably discussing this alone with his fiance in a hotel room yet these "insiders" already know what they're going to decide.

move Pronger to LTIR and/or move Meszaros, unless someone with their NTC wants to move.

the only significant players that don't have NTC/NMC and make 2+ mill are:

Giroux and B. Schenn

I'm not even doubting they also just upped their offers just so Pittsburgh can overpay if they are actually desperately due to their divisional rivalry.

Pronger is currently counting towards their cap, once he's on LTIR there's $5m. That gives them $15m of space for Suter, Parise and Voracek. A trade, and they can afford all three.
