I went Matheson. Dont see how we can let a first rounder be anything less than the #9 prospect. Damn we're deep.

Yea Rau was the other guy i seriously considered here. Im sure he will be #10. We seriously have a lot of good prospects and that is even after considering we lost/graduated Dadanov, Repik and Gudbranson this year.

As a side note, if Brian Fogarty or any of the other guys who do the rankings take a look at this post, could you tell us how our 6-10 prospects would stack up against the other 29 teams 1-5 prospects (assuming Matheson is #9 and Kyle Rau is #10)? Or if that question can't be answered, maybe a slightly different question would be where would we rank if our 1-5 prospects were no longer in our prospect pool? I'd love to know what any of the staff people who rank our prospects would say to those questions.

His knock is size and everyone knows it. Producing at college may not translate to the NHL. I think he could have an NHL career but just depends on a lot of different factors.

Besides, any one of 4 guys would be deserving of this spot...Corbin Knight has been consistently putting up 40+ pts at UND, Rau had that great freshman yr, Trocheck was tied for 9th in the OHL in scoring with 85pts and Matheson could be a game-breaker with his speed. I went with the guy that could make the biggest impact in Matheson, even though he could be a bust too.
