nice seeing these guys have some fun. Too often, pro teams look like they are at a day of work at the office.

Real Deal!

Yeah, he absolutely murder lefties.

Jayson Stark picked Cutch for a midseason NL MVP award over Votto.

...and that's why Barmes still plays every day. Ugh.

Epic meltdown in progress.

edit: Resop?? I guess we are conceding this one.

I'd rather have Resop in than Bedard. This game is far from over since Zito is booty.

Littlefield is gone. Sadly I see no inidication that Nutting has changed from being cheap, and sadly he is still here. Still bottom three payroll in the league.
We've played this song and dance before. Nutting is a crook and Littlefield was a dunce. Littlefield's worst moves were done when he was actually given money to use. In 2007 Nutting infused the team with more money than previously and Littlefield used that money on drafting a relief pitcher (who didn't sign at a discount) and acquiring the broken and hideously priced Matt Morris.

The money hasn't changed too much (to be seen if the amateur spending will remain high when the MLB salaries go up), but Huntington at least has a clue what a baseball is. You have to give the guy credit for the pitching...one of the best pitching staffs in baseball and it's the ultimate collage of cast-offs and unheralded prospects.

Littlefield has a legitimate claim as worst GM in history...at least for a guy who had the job for that long. He was so bad that Bonifay's crimes get overlooked.

Oh yeah Bedard definitely needed to go but I figured Lincoln would be the long guy

McGehee! Took this guy a while to heat up but what an acquisition. 5-4 Giants.

edit: Resop with 2.1 scoreless, keeping this a winnable game. Gotta take advantage.

Bedard is pitching horribly over the last month. Glad to see Karstens back. I wonder if Bedard is packaged with others for a bat and Rudy Owens is given a chance to come on in the rotation?

We'll be lucky if we find a team wants to trade for Bedard. We have a better chance to trade Tabata for a bat or a pitcher.

I'd like to kiss Pedro Alvarez on the mouth. Wish there was someone on base in front of him.

Nah, 6-5 Giants in the bottom of the 8th. Pedro just hit a giant moonshot out of the ballpark to CF.

I'm shocked that Resop went 2.1 innings without giving up a hit or walking somebody.

Bedard.

April 1-4, ERA 2.48

May 2-1, ERA 3.91

June 1-3, ERA 6.58

July 0-2, ERA 10.80

Wow, file that under, Getting Worse.

The good news is that on Sunday the Giants have their own scuffling pitcher going. Lincecum, who has been awful this season. Bad news is they have Vogelsong going tomorrow. Vogelsong is having a great season.

I hate to sound like the overly optimistic person, but they battled hard tonight even in the loss. I love the battle level of this team. They just keep going at it. Gotta get a win here tomorrow, though.

I'll be there in the heat.

Correia really hasn't been that bad.

Bedard has been for a whole now, though.

Correia is the definition of a 5th starter. He's not really good at anything, but he's not bad at anything either...he usually gives us a chance to win and that's what you ask of bottom of the rotation guys.
