That's where I disagree...I don't need an update of his situation, anymore than I need one of Semin, Jagr or even Mueller. Nothing's happened, until something does, then there's the update. Instead, we get mindless speculation, and a coronation of the Pens because, OMIGOD he's going there. I don't need a Parise update unless it's a signing. Have your press conference when you've actually signed a contract. Shut up until then.

Yeah, I've done posts like that too, I know what you mean. Sometimes I should have a time delay between typing stuff out and being able to submit it.

No, if you had multiple companies gunning for you, that indicates that you're worth gunning for and they'd be even more likely to try and entice you. One day would not make or break anything. They'd probably be more likely to try and entice you than to back off in the slightest.

Ironically I was just going to suggest trading a pick/player for Roy so that he could be our 2nd line center if we needed to include Stepan for a Nash/Ryan type.
Not that I'd prefer Roy to Stepan, but he's serviceable... not that any of it matters anymore. Good trade for Buffalo.

I don't know about this trade. I thought Nieuwendyk wanted to make the Stars tougher to play against. Seems like that's a key buzz phrase for GMs these days. Trade Ribeiro and then bring in Whitney and Roy. Also lost Burish. Has Roy been injured in the playoffs? Because he has put up first line center points only once in the postseason

I don't really care how long he takes. The season doesn't start tomorrow, and might not even start in October. I think this is just endemic of the new age we're in. I like twitter updates when there's actual substance to them. But, not every thought that crosses someone's mind needs to be considered important or relevant.

When did the need for immediate information completely replace any examples of patience and civility? On a broader scale, the 24 hour news cycle is probably to blame.
But when it comes to where a guy is going to play hockey, its even more ridiculous when fans bash this guy. It literally makes me feel embarassed.

What's wrong with keeping mum until you have made your decision? I don't have a problem if he makes up his mind next week; I do have a problem when he starts acting like a **** tease.
