Prospect poll, 2012: #1

Might as well get it started now and give us something to chew on for the next month or so. ReLyT did it last time but that poster is a bit AWOL these days, sadly.

You guys know how this works, if you've been here at least a year. Three days to start with to vote, it'll drop to two days later on.

By the way, if you missed it, here was the rundown last year: http://hfboards.hockeysfuture.com/sh...d.php?t=982111

I suspect Saad will run away with the first one, but we might get some surprise votes.

I went with Saad...but I expect that ultimately Teuvo will be better.

I think Teuvo has a higher ceiling but Saad's ceiling isn't too much below his and he's more likely to reach it IMO. So, Saad #1, TT #2

Lol. Gotta give the lurkers a chance to get their opinion in man, even if its the same as ours. Though historically if it was a runaway we would close it early. Can decide that tomorrow if you want.

Last year we rated Saad #9, and only barely at that.

Saad with no hesitation whatsoever.

However, Teravainen is a close second.

I don't think I'll be able to vote for Teuvo until after Prospect Camp. A ton of hype around the kid, and I loved the highlights and reports on him, but I'll wait to see him with my own eyes stacked up against our other prospects before I judge him.

But this one is obvious, and I'm happy the polls reflect that

Saad, would not be surprised if he makes the team out of camp.

okay I've found out who voted Simpson, he is excused due to insanity.

Who voted Holl and Pirri?

I voted Teravainen based on upside alone. Usually how I evaluate prospects with ceilings.

Voted Holl as a joke cuz no one hadn't not voted for Saad yet. He's probably the guy I know least about on this list.

Voted McNeill, still think he will be the better all around player out of all our prospects.

Voted Beach because I think he's the best shot at making the team next season, and he is what the team needs.

He is quite a ways away and is a D on the Gophers this last fall. Needs to fill out and learn a little more.

Saad for me.

Granted, I've only seen youtube videos of Teravainen.. but the more I see him the more I'm impressed with his poise and passing abilty. He can really slow the game down and controll the pace of the game.

But, in saying that, it's Saad for me. I'm confident both will be good-very good players for Chicago and wouldn't be surprised is TT ended up being the "better" player.. but, right now, it's Saad pretty easily.
