Waiting until next off-season is certainly an option, though. But I believe Nashville will either sign him long-term or deal him this summer. They simply cannot let him walk next year for nothing.
Then pass. Hope he hits fa and try there

We host Minnesota on November 13 and play in Minnesota on January 29th. Those should be fun games.

Yeah... I don't get this, and not at you personally.

By all accounts, neither Suter nor Parise ever seriously considered coming here. Suter told the Devils straight out that he was not coming East, so one would assume the Flyers iknew that as well.

Parise was down to New Jersey or Minnesota--rumors to the contrary, I don't think he was ever going to Pittsburgh, and Holmgren wasn't involved either way.

The only thing the Flyers did was (probably) force Minnesota's package up a bit. Like I said yesterday, Suter (and, now, Parise) ought to cut a check to the Flyers Wives charity.

So far today is absolutely perfect. They both end up in Minn which means we face them 2 times a year, and keeps Pitt from getting Parise. Now lets hope Homer keeps it a good day. Please nothing stupid Paul.

Good job Homer ! I honestly like the way this is playing out for the long term ! And i have ZERO problem with Matt Carle resigning with us.I think that Carle is much better than many of you folks believe he is, same with Coburn....Our System is a tough one for D men because of the incredible speed our club transitions from D to offense, and the way our Dmen are often required to pinch on offense to either keep the puck in the offensive zone or to actually be part of the offensive push almost like a winger ! Its a tough gig,and will bite you in the a$$ now and then......Strong goal tending is a must with this system.

Cap wont be its current 70M when season begins ,, And there is no telling how new CBA will effect cap room in future seasons

So there is really no way to say how much cap room they will have to work with

Just go get Weber if Nashville can't agree to a long term contract. I don't care the price(excluding Giroux of course) make it happen.

And now back to my regularly schedule drinking fest on the 4th! Enjoy it to all my Americans, and Canadians have a wonderful day too!

I don't think that it is certain at all that the cap comes down.

Even if the owners succeed in leveraging down the players share, it seems more plausible to me that the gap between the cap and the floor is expanded.
