Isn't anyone in Nuck land concerned about the fact that Schneider has never been a full-time starter, has a limited body of work in terms of number of starts and has yet to prove he can mentally and physically handle a full season?
1. I have yet to hear our owner say anything to the contrary. We are spending to the cap.
2. Luongo getting traded in the season would be just fine.
3. Not concerned about Schneider any more than I am about any other player.

O ok. I misinterpreted.

Thanks.

I wasn't aware I was talking to Thomas and Halak simultaneously? Cool.

Burke just said he not interested in young unproven goalies (he has two) nor in veteran goalies with long term contracts. Luongo and Bernier won't be traded to leafs.

Thomas is absolutely not an option. I am not sure who Etc could be, certainly not anyone in luongo's class. Halak, sure, he could be had. But you;re likely looking at the same type of price tag as luongo with out luongo's success and proven back ground.

I'm a Canucks fan, and I see what you're getting at. But we're coming off as used car salesman here. We demand a lot for Luongo and we also claim we're not desperate. What we're doing here sounds a little desperate to me.

No it isn't. It has nothing to do with what I was talking about. We're talking about the lingering effects of concussions and how players come back and aren't healed.

So why did he try and trade Schenn for Luongo at the draft? Burke is a lying egotistical game player and I wouldn't believe one word that Lawyer says.

So basically he wants to get a proven starter without giving up assets. LOL! Good luck with that one.

We have 2 #1 goalies.
Worst case we send luo to Florida for picks and prospects.
We don't NEED luongo to give us a good return.
We can always trade Schneider.

Gillis is under pressure but he can afford to be patient

Everyone's tradeable.

Halak's last 5 seasons:

.934
.915
.924
.910
.926

Thomas definitely outplayed Luongo, Crawford I think is debatable. In the Nashville series Luongo let in some pretty flukey goals but IMO wasn't outplayed by Rinne.

Thomas won the MVP that year, but it could be debated that he wasn't the best goalie in each of the series the Bruins played in.

So you've basically just made his trade value higher then that of Luongo's. good job. Now it's going to cost you Gardiner, Ashton, a 1st +. Any other options?

Ah the leafs have to take Luongo, we totally forgot. For a second there I thought it was Vancouver that needed to dump him.

Ever think that not making a move could be the best move? They really don't need to do anything.
