My thoughts as well. How long did the Caps re-up with Hershey?

Thanks for doing a good job with Holtby and Grubauer.

But do you really want to go to Reading to see a game? That's worse than going into Newark.

Sad face for losing the affiliation with the city of Charleston.

I don't really want to go to Reading for anything.

But they're dirt cheap and if the Caps have any interesting prospects in Reading (like Flemming last year), I'd definitely consider doing it a couple times a year.

I only lived about 2 hours away from Charleston, so this is disappointing news. Could usually get out and catch a couple of games a year.

Sad because I really really like Charleston despite the hurricane threats. Make too much sense logistically.

Makes sense to geographically, but sucks that I won't get to see any of the capitals prospects play here any more. I got to watch Neuvy and Holtby, and a number of prospects that never amounted to anything. :/

I just hope SC doesn't affiliate with a team I dislike :/

Low level Caps prospects are in tears...

Trading Charleston for Reading...../puke.

This. Sad because I like Charleston, the staff, the arena, and the fans, but logistically this will benefit everyone (clarification: from a logistics perspective.) I know there were issues when Hershey had to keep players when SC needed bodies, because of the logistics getting players between point a and point b.

As for the players, a bit nicer to live in Charleston, golf courses, beaches, nice weather and the food.

It is tough news. I was listening to the radio and Concannon (their GM) said the other teams looking for an affiliate are the Islanders, Bruins, and Maple Leafs.

Darn, I am only a couple hours out from Charleston and was hoping to get to some Stingrays games with Caps prospects.

Hmm..............I'm pretty happy about that. Hershey and Reading are within 45 minutes and the Caps a couple of hours. Enjoy watching a parent team and their affiliates live as opposed to just reading about them.

Could be a fun hockey season coming up.

Good, give them more incentive to get better.

Washington > Hershey > Reading

As it should be.

Interesting perspective. Low level minor leagues should be hell, and not lounging on the beach with hot southern women.

Caps development Major League style. I wonder if they get hot water in Reading?
