I was just getting ready to reply to Usiel's post; heh, if the Caps would release the FA invites like almost every other team, I'd be perfectly happy. I do like attending the prospect and rookie camps, when possible.
Ok, as in past years, extra D (I should have known that when I saw 12, it was going to be 14/15), so hard to write-up the pairings.
Anyway, based on Day 1, here's the cheat sheet if anyone is going, if lines change up, please post the info.; also, please note if there are any typos, thanks
Team Red/Group A
Green: Syner (84) - Herbert (72) - Galiev (49)
Red: Vallorani (86) - Bailey (77) - Barber (24)
White: Martinsen (73) - Wojtala(45) - Wilson (43)
Grey: Miller (93) - Harris (18) - Di Pauli (62)
D: (rotated during the scrimmage due to the extra D)
Koudys (51) / Gens (75)
Wey (56) / McKenzie (94)
Haar (38)/ Joyaux (95)
Seigo (87) / Iafrate (23)
Tyson Wilson (82)
D: (not L/R but these were the pairings for the first scrimmage)
Rissling (28) / Djoos (59)
Wietecha (47) / Schilling (45)
Schmidt (88) / Carrick (58)
Quinn (89) / Chartrain (97)
Random thoughts. I was wondering who would be assisting Oates today. Rissling and Wilson on opposite teams - I like it. It is interesting they gave out number 28, George keeping up the pressure on Gandler. Maybe its common for unsigned UFA's to see someone else get their number.
Is Nardo Nagtzaam (Netherlands) also at the prospect camp? Noticed that he was on his way to Washington right before the camp started, then posted a picture of the practice arena.
Curious if he is playing in camp now.
Yes, also, here is an article from February about the Capitals scouting him.
This isn't helping my perspective on this kid at 16th with TT still on the board
Caps need legit hitters, not guys who finish their checks, theres a ****ing huge difference. One causes turn overs the other hits the guy instead of going after the guy he just passed it too.

Yes, because we already know which one Wilson is after 1 day at developmental camp.

Dude, stop overreacting to... everything.
And it's a Gormley article... take it with a grain of salt.
"On his first shift of Monday’s scrimmage, Wilson drilled defenseman Christian Djoos along the boards, then took out forward Barry Almeida with another glass-rattling hit."
“He tries to hit a lot,” Caps coach Adam Oates said. “I like to see that in any player.”
...not a lot of context there. Doesn't say why he hit them. Is he just running around hitting anything that moves? Is he going after guys with pucks? Along the boards? Maybe he was just trying to make an impression on a shift or two?

I watched the Oates press conference or whatever and his tone was extremely positive. I have no idea what Liberation is talking about.
