That's exactly what this team needed, top-6 scoring. Congrats Jets fans. Good signing. I was hoping the Preds would get him.

Great thing is it should allow Little the room to move to the 2nd line where he belongs and can flourish.

I'm so pumped, this should give Little some much needed breathing room to get easier matchups.

One thing is evident, Chevy wanted more size and we got it in Jokinen and Ponikarovsky.

"The ‘now’ is very good in Chicago. The ‘now’ back in the days when they were drafting first, second and third? It wasn’t very good. But the core of fans that stuck with them, if you asked them now, I betcha they’d say it was worth it.” - Kevin Cheveldayoff

Ladd - Jokinen - Wheeler
Kane - Little - Burmistrov
Poni - Antropov - ? (Wellwood would be ideal)
Machacek - Slates - Thorburn

I'd say we got better, but it would be better if we signed Wellwood. He provides so much flexibility.

Love it. I'm so stoked right now.

I can admit, there was a time when I was not an Olli Jokinen fan, but this is a man who has overcome things in his life and I respect that to no end.

This is ace news. Exactly what the Jets need -- a legit Top 6 center with loads of veteran experience, on a completely reasonable contract for a 33-year-old player. Great signing by Chevy IMO, looking forward to hearing what made Jokinen choose the Jets, I have to think he had other opportunities.

Can't agree enough. Wellwood provides a lot of versatility within the top 9. Also, I would love, love, love to see a line of Ponikarovaky - Antropov - Wellwood. I'm becoming a broken record with this, but I think this could be one of the best third lines out there.

Mittens...Cormier...Schiefele. Wellwood would be a good fit but gotta wonder if he is looking for a role with a contender.

I thought the same thing about the lineup.

Except I swapped Burmistrov and Antro.

I'd also put Miettinen in over Thorburn. Both don't offer much offensively, but while Thorburn is more physical, Miettinen is just the overall smarter hockey player on both sides of the ice. He can also play both special teams if there's ever the need. I wonder if he (Thorbuen) gets traded as we have young replacements for him in Cormier, Machacek, and Klingberg.

Looking at the lineup I posted, is anyone down to break up the Ladd - Little - Wheeler line? I'm not sure it'd be the best idea, they've had decent chemistry. I'd be willing to bet Noel puts Olli with Kane to see if there's something there.
