He'll more than likely play with Wheeler who is a very solid playmaker I'm not to worried. The team still need to find a player who can run the pp from the half boards until Scheifele is ready to assume that role.

I think a guy like Jokinen will fit really well with Wheeler. Wheeler is a great play making winger, and Jokinen a classic shoot first center. I would certainly try to make those two gel.

I'm interested in what signing Jokinen does regarding Tobias Enstrom's long term position with the team. Before he seemed to be the most likely piece to be dangled for a top 6 forward, and suddenly we aren't in as desperate need as we were.

This move could mean that Enstrom is re-signed instead of traded away.

Wow - great signing! Good money, good term - Olli will be motivated from the get-go. Between Poni and Olli, that's a BIG upgrade on size, in addition to scoring.

I'd have Poni'd up far more for a 1-2 year contract - good on Chevy. Between prospects, and perhaps another signing, there's a heck of a lot more solidity to the lines now - we may actually have 4 real lines this year.

But but but.......................Jets management don't want to sign any Euro's

And and and......................no big name players will want to sign in Winnipeg.

You know, the sky is falling and stuff

This is a good signing by the Jets.

Olli has a tremendous shot as if great in the shoot out.

He is not that great of a passer.

This will give time for our young centres to develope.

#NHLJets GM says Olli was the plan all along, not reactionary.

I don't mean to toot my own horn, but did I call it or what? Not sure if I was the first on here that started talking about him, but it sure seemed like people wanted him.

Decent contract too.

Let's not start assuming too much. We still need a back-up goalie.

The best part is it only cost us 9MM Tobias 2 years of Jokinen!
