Good cap hit but Wpg should really have let Little/Burmistrov have a good go at the top 6. Anyways, depth never hurts and hopefully by the time this term is over, Scheifele/Burmistrov are all set to go.

I'm surprised Jokinen didn't go for a team that offered him longer term though.

Insanely jealous as a Leafs fan.

Kessel's awkwardness and Ollie's weirdness would have been epic.

Part of their plan to get smaller and slower in the newer new NHL.

Surprised he didn't get 3 years either, good signing if he continues to produce.

He does have tendancies to be a bit of a lazy player with conditioning and playing in a hockey city like winnipeg hopefully will be the motivation to keep him working hard on impoving his game.
I dont agree with him being lazy at all, he just gets "dumb" every once and awhile and starts to swoop and put a whole lot of effort into doing nothing.. But whens hes on, hes a beast. Big, fast, decent hands, and great shot..

Great contract for the Jets. It takes any pressure off the team to rush Scheifele to the NHL. When this deal is done Scheifele should be ready to fill that spot.

Little and burmi would likely play alongside kane/ladd in the 2nd line.

Great signing, I'd rather Jokinen at 4.5 mill than Wideman or Hudler at their price. Don't know what Feaster is thinking if he is in "win now" mode and they don't have a first line center.

We needed a center so bad to bolster out lineup didn't think we could get Olli for 2 years.......Buys some of our young centers time to develop and makes us bigger up the middle....

Get younger and get a change in the lockerroom I imagine, Feaster said some main guys wouldnt be back, Olli was apparently one.. For better or worst, guess we'll find out

Kind of pissed the Flames didn't keep him at that contract though.

Looks like a good signing to me. I figured he wouldn't be back in Calgary, but it's not like he isn't a good player. Term is good for the Jets and the money is just fine. Hope Olli does well for you guys!

Also, that link (I didn't quote it but you should all know which one I mean) is amazing.

I'm actually sort of sad. Photoshop gold would have been awesome in Calgary with Hudler

Good fit, but terrible cap hit. Jets didn't really have a choice though.

Cap hit is pretty much irrelevant. We needed to sign someone like this to just make it past the floor.

Eh, it's really not that terrible, and we could actually use it to make sure we reach the cap floor if we don't bring Wellwood back. Depending on how much Kane and the back-up goalie get.
