Thought he was a lock for the Leafs.

If Calgary had signed him to this, I bet everyone whose said it was a good deal would be blasting us for overpaying lol. Good signing imo, good luck Olli

Good, this will hopefully ensure that they don't rush Scheifele.

Wow. One of the best contract in FA so far imo. 2 years is perfect for Jets and 4.5$ seems very little. I thought for sure he would get 4X4 or 5X3 type of deal.

It's perfect in many ways. fills our top 6 centre needs, scoring touch, veteran presence, and gives scheifele 2 more years to develop

Olli Jokinen will continue on his solid career of filling a top six Center role and putting up appropriate point totals for the non-playoff teams of the NHL. Keep up the good work Olli. There will always be a place in the NHL for players like you.

Gat dang I really would have liked him in Van, he would have been a great fit here. Winnipeg got a good deal though

Good signing for the Jets. Cap hit is reasonable, and term is only 2 years.

My thoughts exactly. He was making 3 mil, obviously wanted a raise, so if the Flames gave him it, Feaster would have been trashed. Oh well

This came out of left field, good signing for the Jets, especially at such term.

Brilliant - my favorite non-wild player to my favorite non wild team.

This has some legs!

Jets grabbed a solid center on great term.
I doubt the money really matter since the Jets won't be a ceiling team.

I was just going to say this. If the Flames would've signed Jokinen @ $4.5 million there would've been an outcry - "Jokinen sucks", "overpaid", "Feaster is an idiot". Ray Ferraro also went from calling him a "cancer" when he signed with the Flames to praising him now that he's with the Jets.

What a joke!

Jokinen's contract is way better than Wideman's.

Not if he would've signed with any other team.

What a joke HF is.

Crawford called it yesterday during free agency frenzy, I believe. Good move for WPG.

YES! YES! YES! 100000X YES!

This is beautiful for the jets.

Great contract for someone who is exactly what the Jets needed. Chevy continues to impress me over and over.
