Yup, very nice! Let's see what the terms are like. I love the fact that it's 4 years. Hopefully O'Reilly's deal is something like that as well.

I highly doubt it's for over $5 million. I would say average of 4.5.

I do too. $4.5 is likely the sweet spot. I wouldn't throw a fit if it was something like $4.8 M, that's what I meant.

That is either a poor deal for EJ or a poor deal for the Avs. I would have liked shorter term. He still hasn't proven to be anything more than a top 4. Either he will take the next step, and it is a poor deal for him, or he stays where he is at and hopefully for the Avs it is less than 5 mill. I am not a fan of rewarding player for potential, or paying money for what you hope he becomes. Again, hopefully it is less than 5 mill.

He would be a UFA at any contract you'd want longer than 4 years...
