Huh...both Garbutt and Fiddler had shoulder surgery too. Don't remember ever hearing about that.

I guess there's a huge counter proposal from the NHLPA. They are meeting now after it was pushed back 90 minutes earlier today.

NHLPA countering with 4 different proposals. We'll see how it goes.

Wow, so long as none of them are too silly that might expedite the process, or the NHLPA is hoping to bog down the NHL to make them look bad if they don't sift through and respond with a counter-offer before their November deadline.

Hearing Jagr got injured in today's Kladno game.

Left 12 minutes into the game, sounds like.

Three of the four proposals were tendered to ownership.

The NHL hates all of the proposals. Bettman, "A step backwards." Well crap.

Players better just take the NHLs proposal. This looks like the last one they'll be offered.

At least we still have the baby stars....right..?

Nothing more exciting than watching Glennie get scratched every game.

At least the Tornado are at home this weekend. Is the NHL's offer still on the table?

Knew there was a reason not to get hopes up, so didn't. Thankfully.

Neither side wants to get it done.

They should just frigging take the NHL's proposal.

Why should they?

They clearly liked it enough to compromise with. The NHL is the one that wants it their way or no way at all. The NHL just turned four offers down because it wasn't their own. Instead, the NHL should go back to work and come back with their own offer that shows they're willing to work and compromise.

Still siding with the players on this.

hopefully the NHLPA makes their offers public like the NHL did. Then we can actually have a real discussion.

NHL only made it public so that when the NHLPA would reject it (and they knew they would), it'd be the NHLPA looking like the bad guy.

Whole thing is a damn PR battle.
