For those knocking Parise's "anything is possible" comment, he says the UFA process has been extremely stressful.

I just want to say Preds fans are feeling your pain right now. Suter is giving us no indication of what he's doing, so we can't really move forward. Not to mention, our captain has said he is waiting to sign long-term until he knows what Suter is doing, so it looks like we get both Suter and Weber or neither. The suspense is about enough to kill me. In short, we're right there with you. This sucks.

I wonder if Lou and Poile are calling each other up and venting.

We definitely feel your pain. You think by now we'd be veterans of this process, but it gets worse every time.

For instance, is his fiancee's happiness worth $20M? Can someone even put a price tag on that?
Depends on the lawyer that wrote his prenup.

This made me chuckle but at the same time it might not be too far from the truth either.

This is just my opinion, but I think NSH has a legitimate chance to run for a cup in the next 2-3 years. I was having them come out of the west THIS year with the deadline upgrades. I don't see how Suter couldn't acknowledge the willingness to put out a great team.

Has the ownership finally decided to lift the internal cap, or is the team on its own budget? Getting a big time forward would do a lot to increase the team's lure.

I suspect Nashville might miss the playoffs next year. They're a terrible possession team that will only get worse with the loss of Suter.

Then end it already. This was Zach's choice to go to UFA. Hold the violin.

Yeah, wherever he goes, he'll make more this year than I'll make in 3 lifetimes. The guy is holding 3 or 4 $100m winning lottery tickets in his hand, deciding which one he should cash. I mean, I care to a point, but I can't really relate to the situation at all.

I keep following this saga because, hey, it beats working.

We definitely understand you guys. I've always looked at the Predators as a team that is built the way the old Devils Cup teams were: Excellent defence, an elite goalie, and just enough scoring. What you're going through now is like what would have happened to NJ if Stevens and Niedermayer had decided to leave as free agents in the middle of those Devils teams' contending window.

Henrique is the guy who is really ****ed up at the wedding, you know cause he can legally drink now, and takes it too far and hits zach's wife in the white dress with chocolate cake.

Zach and JP turns around and see chocolate cake all over Patrick kane's face as he downs 3 more shots of Coconut Rum.

Zach screams he is now signing in NJ as you see a bald shadow behind the curtains smiling, eating new england clam chowder with a status quo tie.

Henrique passes out in the parking lot 2 hours later and forgets everything that happens

I mean he's going to be super rich either way so I doubt he's stressing specifically over the money.. I imagine it's stressful because the majority of the people involved are going to end up disappointed and Zach is feeling the pressure of his teammates, friends, family, etc pushing him in different directions

Poile and Trotz said repeatedly (and I mean repeatedly) during the season that we would be a cap ceiling team starting this coming year. We have appearently offered Suter over 100 million. We also submitted an offer to Parise.

Money isn't an issue. Suter is just being a diva for a reason no one can figure out. We're a young, competitive team in a growing market that can compete for a Cup. Suter can play on the best D pairing in the league for his whole career. He can stay out of the big media spotlight. We have no idea why he wants out in the first place.

Tedenby's problem is his confidence in his shot, not necessarily his defensive deficiencies.
Tedenby's bigger problem is that he could ride the triple crown winner.

Unless he learns how to skate through people's legs to the crease he's not going to post numbers LT. Speed only goes so ffar when the guy blocking your path is twice your size.

If Suter leaves and we trade Weber (the former will likely lead to the latter), it doesn't look good.

Or Zach says he's signing with the Pens.....Sidney is so happy they do shots, and Sidney falls down on the concrete by the pool...and he's concussed !
