Any CFA charterholders here? Just registered for level one in June.

Downloaded the ebooks...3600 pages. Good grief.

Currently studying finance and not looking forward to that. Honestly might just go for an MBA, depending on my job status.

I'm not even a college football fan but I found this riveting:

m.deadspin.com/5976517/manti-teos-dead-girlfriend-the-most-heartbreaking-and-inspirational-story-of-the-college-football-season-is-a-hoax

If true, and it looks pretty damning, how did Te'o ever think he could get away with this?

Strange. I thought maybe the story was going into the direction of "what an idiot, got Catfished," but its pretty obvious he was in on it...

Though it shows the MSM full of hacks who don't like to do real work.

I've got two plausible answers.

1) He's closeted and desperate to remain so.
2) He's an unbelievable fame *****.

If he went through all of this just for #1, I really feel for the guy. If it's #2, good lord what a *****.

There is no way to be unaware that your girlfriend of several years is fake. He claims he talked to her on the phone every night for hours.

The pictures are confirmed as fakes and Te'o claims that he spent holidays in Hawaii with her. He didn't realize that he was with a different person? Or he's straight up lying? Which is more plausible?

Unless he's like, George from Of Mice and Men, stupid, he's part of this.

Yeah, what BCF said... There's no way he Manti wasn't apart of this.

I'm going with the Gay explanation.

Might have our first out NFLer. Wonder how much it hurts the already dipping draft stock?

Edit it being the whole gf deal.

Kornheiser just mentioned that Magruder's is selling their remaining stores

I grew up at that Magruder's in Rockville, the one that got torn down for that big apartment complex

Another staple of my childhood is fading away, RIP to a local legend

I think the Teo thing is a mixture of lies. I think he probably had this online relationship and made up the back story, such as talking to her on the phone and visiting her in Hawaii because he was too embarassed to admit he fell for someone through Facebook (or whatever it was).

If he helped fabricate the whole thing, I doubt he plays a snap in the NFL ever.

Well now the twitter account is trolling.

My statement: This is incredibly embarrassing to talk about, but I have been told by Alabama's offense that Manti Te'o is not real.
Wonder if its some sort of strange way of them trying to make it seem like he is the victim by doing these things, or it was a legit troll and now they are having a lot of fun.

Wegmans is the place to go now. Whole Foods is good as well but quite $

Safeway and Giant are horrible, except Giant does carry Boar's Head Cold Cuts.

I am now a Giant man

They built Harris Teeter around here but I've never been. I just miss Magruder's. It's very sad to see them go

Harris Teeter I go to about 95% of the time. One right by work as well as by my house. Grew up going to the Magruder's in Vienna, VA. Sorry to see it go.

I still go the Magruder's in D.C. just south of Chevy Chase Circle a few times a year.

As for local supermarket chains, Haris Teeter is probably the best, but you pay for it. I usually spend 10-20% more there than I do at Safeway or Giant. OTOH, the produce lasts several days longer.

Wegman's is across the river in NoVA. They didn't put any Wegmans in Suburban Maryland.

It's just Giant and Safeway and Harris Teeter here. I hear good thing about Wegman's subs, but I don't want to drive all the way across to NoVA just to have one.

It's not worth the drive.
