  • Always bet on lane 4 in swimming.
  • Where is Michelle Janneke dammit.
  • I feel sorry for the gymnasts that have to hug those old men coaches at every chance.
  • Olympic fails are amusing.
  • Children should not be in the Olympics. I don't care if they are better than adults. Show the adults failing.
  • Peace pipe Phelps is part dolphin
  • Grunting should be banned in Tennis

I'll add one:

Pierre McGuire in a jumpsuit covering water polo is much creepier than Pierre McGuire covering hockey.

Uhhh no, the creepy part is being around in men in Speedos.

Now every creepy moment he has, I'm going to imagine him imagining the person hes interviewing in a speedo.

Gotta admit though, hearing Doc Emrick yell "and a DRIIIIVVE" while covering water polo, it's like the NHL season never ended.

Speaking of Olympic failures, I saw two during one very odd event yesterday. The event was walking/slow running/trotting(?). First failure was the Russian favorite, and defending olympic champion, pass out into the crowd. Second was the eventual winner from China hot dogging and talking **** with mulitple gestures during the final lap to the dismay of the announcer. Feel bad to say but I had a good laugh at the whole display. Russian walks himself literally into the ground, Chineese man doing his "Primetime" impersionation, and the fact that walking/slow running/trotting is an Olympic sport. But hey, a guy from Guatemala got silver and scored the first medal for his country in its history. Also heard when he finished that the Mayor of his hometown hooked him up with a free house prior to leaving for the Olympics. not a bad deal all around.

Also caught Woman's Trampoline on TV as well yesterday. Another "WTF?" moment. To think sports like Baseball and Softball have been removed, but sports like Walking/Slow Running/Trotting, Trampoline and Table Tennis live on is hilarious.

Interested to read what you guys think of this exceptional person participating in the Olympics:

IMO, hell of an achievement, but if he can run in the Olympics whats the point of the Para-Olympics that will be held in London a week after these Olympics end?

That's because the highest seed is in lane 4.

Because most of the para-Olympians are not on par with "regular" Olympians. He is.

Mass shooting at a Sikh temple in Wisconsin. $10 says that the inbred redneck who did it thought that Sikhs are Muslims.

Yeah, sorry. He reminded me of the guy in Sixteen Candles, Long Duck Dong, based on what he looked like and how he was acting like an ass during that final lap. I fixed it.

After some research you are right. He has at least 4 golds from the 2004 and 2008 para-olympics. Guess he needed to move up a level.

I approve of handball and water polo! Some of the best events never see the airwaves.

He, does not. He's a good baseball player though, I know he had a few full ride offers, not sure if Catholic was one of them, or he went there for religious/whatever reasons.

Fantastic fails on the girls horse vault last night!

And predictably more excessive hugging. I feel really sorry for those girls.

I did get a kick out of the 35 year old German woman competing with 15 year olds.

Nope T3 loves these types, they maybe successful, if not they fail with their own money while paying them crazy fees for their trades.

I've been playing NHL 10 today (latest version I have) and that awful "know your enemy" Green Day song is on the soundtrack. I looked up the lyrics to see if there were any other words than "do you know your enemy?" and found that there pretty much aren't. http://www.metrolyrics.com/know-your...green-day.html

The fact that **** like this exists and, beyond that, is actually popular just makes me lose even more of my already nearly nonexistent faith in humanity.

Edit: What I mean is, it's fine for something not to have real substance beyond just sounding good or whatever, but garbage like that is passed off as meaningful and it's sickening. I mean, "Well, silence is the enemy so gimme gimme revolution!"...seriously?

You have to be talking about this chick:

And she is 37. Googled her when I saw her the other night because I remember her from the 2008 Olympics. Oksana Chusovitina. She has been at it so long she has competed in the Olympics for the Unified Team, Ukraine, and Germany. Not a looker but doing that stuff at 37, and having a kid along the way, gets my respect. And considering she is a year older than me yet another prime example that I need to get in better shape.

Hey phone nerds, I'm on Verizon and can't decide what to get. I'm replacing my HTC Incredible, and I really liked it. So I'm leaning toward the Rezound. But I'm also considering the Galaxy and the Razr.

Thoughts? I'm not really wowed by any of the Verizon choices and even though I hate everything about Apple, I'd consider an iPhone.

But really, get the iPhone. I hate Apple too, but it really is the best phone you can get.
