Amar'e OK Coming off the Bench

Basically, if Woodson wanted to, he could run two completely different teams.

Team 1 - Felton, Kidd, Brewer, 'Melo, Chandler
Team 2 - Prigioni, Smith, Novak, Amar'e, Camby/Thomas

Obviously that's not how it's going to work, but it's just a quick look at the depth this team will actually have when Amar'e comes back and before Shumpert comes back.

What does NEED to happen though, no questions asked, is to allow Felton and Amar'e to get back the pick n roll chemistry they had before Felton was traded.

I also understand that Amar'e, and Chandler+'Melo can clash on the court due to their play styles. It's up to Woodson to figure that out and make it work positively for the Knicks. The Knicks are one of the deepest teams in the NBA. They have to make that work for them.

Is anyone else completely outraged that David Stern plans on fining the Spurs for sitting Duncan, Ginobli, and Parker? Complete bull ****. How do you fine a team for resting players?

I hope the Spurs win. If that happens and I was the Spurs, I'd go back to the league and say "you're gonna fine me for putting the best chance to win out on the court?"

Cant believe you guys would rather have Pau than Amar'e.

Or David Lee for that matter. How's GS looking right now?

Nobody mentions how Zach Randolph was a scrub here and now he's doing work in Memphis.

I doubt Amar'e's going anywhere.

Totally agree, one of the most absurd things I've seen a commish of any league say.

A 30 yr old Stoudemire is declining more rapidly than the 32 yr old Gasol.

9-6 and this is without Bogut.

He was expected to do too much. He put a fine statline. I'd rather have Randolph than Amare any day of the week. One of best southpaw in game maybe.

That's quite unfortunate for the Knicks.

He's probably still a pick and roll player, and I like silverfish's idea of rolling out two teams.

Unit 1:
Chandler
Brewer
Anthony
Shumpert
Kidd

Unit 2:
Camby
Stoudemire
Novak
Smith
Felton

Felton can play pick-n-roll with Amare.

Would prefer to cut ties with Stouds and trade him for Gasol/Bargnani.

Sign Chris Paul long term, win championship.

Lee had 31 pts today in GS's win.

Stoudemire on bench hurting team.

I never understood why the Knicks let David Lee go. The guy fit the team well, was good on both ends of the floor.

Amar'e Stoudemire was a better player than David Lee in 2010.

Lee must have improved his defense because it was horrible here.

____

Is it just me, or does the NBA have a lot more back to backs than the NHL?

Especially since a lot of teams do that at the end of the year. Whats the difference if they do it now or then?

Lee is not good at both ends of the floor and Amar'e was (and probably still is) better offensively.

Remembered!

I was so pissed when the Knicks traded Ariza. That dude was a dunk MACHINE.

Also ran into him the one time I went to visit my older brother at UCLA, so that was really cool too

Prigioni feeling it

Love Sheed's presence, but he is really irritating me with his 3 point events. He should be doing more of what he wanted to when returning from retirement: teach the amateurs how to post up. He is still REALLY good at that. Stop with the 3 point shooting!

I wish the Garden crowd was smart enough to make 'BALL DON'T LIE' a thing.

Every time 'Sheed fouls someone, if they miss the free throw, I wish it ERUPTED from the crowd

More realistic in a college arena, probably

Love watching JR play in a blow out when he is clearly the best guy on the court. That Prigioni pass to him was sweet.

Stern was partly right. Going public was wrong. He fined the Showtime Lakers for doing the same **** in the 90s.

I'm not mad at Stern and I'm not mad at Popovic. I'm mad at Duncan, Parker and Ginobili not grabbing their sacks and dressing for a key game-- November or not. At least dress, maybe play 10 mins. I mean, they didn't even make the trip.

Bush league IMO. I don't care how many rings or years in the league you have. You don't pull yourself out of a November game just because you're tired.

Knicks are consistently blowing out teams they should be. A few years ago that concept would've been unfathomable.

Nets keep rolling, even without Brook. Knicks remain in 2nd due to tie breaker.

Sucks to not have hockey more than anything, but at least we seem to be in for a HELL of a basketball season.

I'd take Lee over Amare in a hurry. Amare's knees are a huge question mark.

My friend told me she just scored 3 $1000 tickets for free for the next Nets-Knicks game, and I'm going!
