Wonder how they are going to fill out the rest of the roster? Also can't wait to see the Knicks fill out a Summer League team since Douglas, Jorts, and Jordan were all supposed to play for them. I know JR Smith's little bro is on the summer team, probably has a good chance to make the team just because of empty roster spots. Can't imagine they match the sheet on Fields.
They've signed one player who played in Europe last year (James White, SG) and reportedly are about to sign another (Pablo Prigioni, PG).
The Rockets have tried to deliver the offer sheet to the Knicks since Friday afternoon, but they had eluded their efforts, holding up the start of the three-day clock to match the offer or let Lin go to the Rockets, according to a person familiar with the process.
The Rockets had called and asked where they could deliver the offer sheet but were told that information would not be shared. By Friday evening, a courier called the hotel room of a Knicks official but did not get an answer. Roughly 30 minutes later, a front desk clerk reached him but was told the Knicks were not taking deliveries and that he would not come to the front desk to pick up a package.
The Rockets sent representatives to the Knicks practice on Friday and to the game on Saturday but could not find Knicks general manager Glen Grunwald.
The offer sheet was FedExed to the Knicks’ New York office and will have the receipt forwarded to the league office, but league officials said that until it can be shown that the Knicks have the offer sheet in hand, the clock on the Knicks’ three-day period to match would not begin.
Haven't spoken with anyone who knows whether Knicks will match Lin offer sheet, but their actions loudly suggest they won't.

Knicks have acquired Raymond Felton and Kurt Thomas from Portland for Jared Jeffries, Kurt Thomas and 2016 2nd-round pick, source confirms.
Looks like I'm about to officially become a Nets fan...
The Rockets' offer sheet for Lin is worth a little more than $25 million -- $5 million in the first year, $5.225 million in the second and $14.8 million in the third.
Lin is coming back dude. The Knicks are matching the deal.
Used to think so, but everything points to them not doing so. Why try and delay that offersheet for so long? Why the trade for Felton? Don't think it's just to play SG until Shump's back, but that's interesting. I'd love to have Lin back, but that cap hit in the final year will be ridiculous.

Landry Fields @landryfields
I want to thank ALL the Knick fans out there for their support over the past two years! Much love and respect, you will be missed! #NYK

Felton is a malcontent, but he had great chemistry with Amare. Will Melo have a negative impact? Who knows.
Woodson imprint on this current roster is significant. I like what the Knicks are doing. They knew they had a small window to begin with so they are going for broke. They have 2 or 3 years, then they can reload.
I dont really care too much about Landy. Toronto was looking to bring somebody, anybody in this offseason and they did so by overpaying Landy Fields. He had a very good rookie year but was abysmal last season. I dont think I wouldve paid the guy that mich when you dont know which Landry you will get: the rookie or the sophomore. Another thing to consider is he might have succeeded his rookie year because of the system and chemistry this team had pre-Melo.
At first I was mad, but seeing the structure of the contract, its probably for the best if they let Lin walk. That $14 million last year is Linsane (one more pun for the road).
Maybe next summer the Knicks are going to go after Chris Paul?
This isnt like 1997 with Messier. Messier was a captain and winner, and had a good 1997 despite injury. He was insulted when they offered a one-year deal for 4-million, and he and Smith stopped getting along.
Vancouver was ridiculed for offering Messier that contract and it blew up in their face. They never considered that Messier had a very bad 2nd half in 1997, was injured, and that he would divided the locker room and city since Linden would no longer be Captain.
Lin isnt Messier. He's not Carlos Beltran who banked off of the 2005 playoffs.
He could be Mark Davis. One-year wonder.
I agree with the Knicks if they decide not to match. I agree 100pct. Houston is Jesus Country and taxes are lower. Lin will love it there.
Same here. Some of the comments below the article are ridiculous. The people complaining about letting Lin go are the same people who *****ed and moaned about the Knicks handing out awful contracts during the mid 2000's. Giving a guy 15 million for one year of a 3 year deal based on 25 GAMES could turn out to be awful for the Knicks.
Also, this hasnt come out yet but Jason Kidd wrapped his car around a pole in South Hampton last night and apparently was wasted. A friend of a friend works for the police there.
edit: actually it just is being reported by ESPN now lol
