Wild players ecstatic. Heatley says he spoke with Suter 2 nights ago and swapped texts with Parise. Both asked: can we win. Answer: yes.

While having them both going to the same team is a pretty scary proposition, at least neither of them went to Pittsburgh or Detroit. Still, great signing for Minnesota.

with 24 players signed already they have 500k left in cap. they can send 1 of konopka, zucker down to the ahl and they have over 1 million and 23 players signed.

the wild are very very fine with cap space.

Cap for the Wild is at $69,607,200 right now.

If the summer cap hold up and stays unchanged then the Wild are fine. If not, they are going to be in a little spot of bother.

The thing of it is that they have some prospects not too far away that have some really good upside that could make that lineup even better in the next couple of years.

Well what Im wondering is if the ownership gave Fletcher the green light to spend near the cap, or there is an internal cap which will force a salary dump.

I dont know about them giving up Clutterbuck but I can definitely see Seto being put up on the market.

#sjsharks silence is deafening. Though I am hearing they're close to hiring new asst. coach. 1 year ago today they announce Heatley 4 Havlat

Hopefully we'll hear something soon.

Cool. Another team that will make the SCF before the Sharks. At least we have Doug.

there will be no way the cap goes down in the next season, and if it does expect a major reduction of players salaries like the previous cba brought.

i can see the nhl (if they do reduce the cap) to do it like the nfl or nba just did and keep it the same this year, then the proceeding seasons to bump it down a little bit at a time.

If Heatley can get back to his prime scoring, that will be a deadly top line of Heatley-Koivu-Parise

I would not want to be around Babcock if/when that happens.

Good News: This team is still designed to and can beat Detroit.
Bad News: Detroit is now the 10th best team in the Western Conference.

Dammit .. since they both went to the Western Conference does that mean that DW will now be ok giving up more to CBJ for Nash. God I hope not.

Please no reactionary moves DW.

We weren't landing either Suter or Parise anyway...
Anyway, good for the Wild. So who's left?
