Good signing. Very useful bottom 6 player with a nice cap hit.

this is the guy an offensively-challenged team needs to help them score and put them over the top.

I can't tell if this is sarcasm or not.... but his best offensive season was half a decade ago, playing for large stretches with the Sedins.

37 points.

I liked him on the Canucks and always kept an eye out for him when watching a Coyotes game this past season. I think he'll do well in New York with Torts.

I always felt like he lost a bit of his edge after his fiance passed away. He's been through a lot.

Hard worker. But doesn't use his size enough and has hands of stone.

Probably because his fiance passed away. That event would be soul-crushing for anyone.

Hard worker, scores garbage goals well, not always physical, decent in his own zone, can play physical and has one of the worst set of hands in the NHL with zero deking ability :/

WOW! The Rangers are going to be icing a football team. Adding Pyatt and Asham makes them bigger but considerably slower also. Maybe they will just line up shoulder to shoulder in front of Henry and block every shot.

He seems like the type of player that will make the veins in Torts head bulge every other game.

I will take him in the bottom 6, nice depth move

Although I expect a trade coming now. Still need that top LW. Maybe Dubinsky and Anisimov for a scoring LW. Ryan Clowe please and a C in the deal or via free agency. Langkow?

Hagelin, Richards, Gaborik
Kreider, Stepan, Callahan
Pyatt, Dubinsky, Anisimov
Rupp, Boyle, Asham

just posted this but here's the answer to your question. I think Sather has a deal coming for a top end Winger. Hagelin is better served on the 3rd line. They could deal Dubinsky and Anisimov in a package and get someone very good. Would need a C coming back if they did that too though.

To be honest, the Rangers are one decent 3rd line player who can put up 35-45 points away from having a top line, a middle 6, and a bottom line rather than your standard top-6, bottom-6 setup.

Pyatt is likely a 4th liner for us and will share time with Rupp and Asham on the two wing spots. He will play occasionally on the 3rd line in event of injuries.

And Vitto, stop remaking the team.

Personal favourite moment for Pyatt. Proves he's tough as nails when he wants to be... Ivanens is a big tough guy. Good signing for the Rangers, would've liked him back as a Canuck.
