Exactly this, not everyone can remain untouchable forever.

I just don't see them trading Dubinsky and Anisimov in tge same trade unless a third line center is coming back in the deal as well. Who would the third line center be for tge Rangers?

Hint: It's not Bruan Boyle. Nothing really out there on the UFA market either.

I think Miller is the better player when both fully develop.

I move Miller over Hagelin every day of the week. 38 in 64 games, speed and tenacity, and his defensive game are much more valuable than Miller who has yet to play an NHL game.

Tenacity is what got Miller drafted 15th over.

Miller's body is NHL ready.

If we're trying to win a cup next year, I think that changes the here-and-now value a bit.

I might as well

I've always like the Wild. I just love Minnesota. I'll be in Minnesota in the next year and a half or so. If he goes there, I'll become a huge Wild fan. Parise is my favorite non-Ranger. Parise Wild jersey, here I come

Miller was a 1st round draft pick - Hagelin was a 6th. Not the end all/be all obviously, but thats something that should be taken into consideration when it comes to upside.

Just a personal view, but I think Hagelin played over his head during the regular season. I enjoyed watching his speed and solid grasp of the game, but if hes a piece in the Nash trade, I think its a good situation for us as we'd be selling high.

Oh don't get me wrong, I know that. I'll just take the proven player over the prospect who hasn't played an NHL game.

Don't worry. They'll probably both be in the trade.

So, until Kreider played his first playoff game, you would have dealt him before Brian Boyle? Afterall, Boyle has a 20 goal season under his belt.

Let's not get too literal here. Kreider is Kreider. You can't even compare Miller to Kreider. Kreider has always been untouchable.

Personally, I hang on to Miller. I think Hagelin is a nice NHL'er who is what he is. I don't expect massive upside. And I too can't help but shake the feeling that he played a little above his head this season. I can see him playing for a long time. But I can also see him never quite producing at the same clip he did this season, which happens quite a bit in the NHL.

Obviously I'd like to keep both but I'd move Hagelin before Miller every day.

IMO Hags may have a difficult time matching his pace from last season.

well someone woke up on the wrong side of the bed this morning aye jas?

from the games ive seen him play....Traverse City, (cant remember if he got into any preseason games or not) and the WJC, hes looked like a 3rd liner at best. Hagelin is the same way, except Hagelin can be plugged into any role and adapt...and hes faster, and hes already on the roster. I just dont see the upside to his game that clearly you do.

Right.

Other than the fact that Miller got drafted higher than Kreider.

But lets get literal, you said you'd "always take the established talent over a prospect" - I think thats ridiculous, especially when it comes to a player with a limited ceiling like Hagelin.

If I had to choose between Hagelin and Miller I'd take Miller.
