I think people are seriously underrating Hagelin's worth to this team. Rangers didn't really start to heat up until he got called up, and then in the playoffs the team is tied in the series 1-1, and Hagelin is suspended, they fall to 3-2. Maybe it's just me but I feel his presence and forechecking are a huge spark to this team night in and night out kind of like Ryan Callahan.
Even if you want to limit it to Hagelin vs. Miller, you'd still be wrong. See Edge's thoughts, who puts it way more eloquently than I ever could.
I cant believe its gotten to a point where Carl Hagelin is a non-starter when it comes to a Nash trade.
How am I wrong? No body knows who is right until 5 years down the road. Hagelin isn't a non-starter for me. But if Howson the baboon said "Miller or Hagelin" and you got a deal, I give Miller. It's just my opinion. I'll leave it up to Clark and Gorton, along with Torts and Sather.
Everyone needs to STOP. Hagelin is going nowhere, he was on pass for about 40-50 points in his rookie year can play on the first second or third line has great wheels and is unbelievable on the forecheck and around the boards and you guys wanna trade him for NASH? I'd love rick Nash on this team but not for a deal that includes hags or MDZ. It's disturbing that everyone wants to trade youth for this guy his cap hit is 7.8 mil a year. At the end of the day all I Rather give up Dubi and anisimov for Nash + whatever needs to be added picks prospect. If that's not good enough then take a hike howson.

Pittsburgh is OFFICIALLY OUT on Zach Parise. He will not be joining the Penguins.
It just didnt make monetary sense. Pierre Maguire sounded like a fool at the draft, acting like the Pens had the best prospects in the league and that Parise will go to Pittsburgh because of the SSM connection between Crosby and Parise.
Everything should be predicated on Re-signing Malkin and Letang in two years.
