Explain to me why you like Hagelin so much, why you felt the need to make him your username on this site. Why? I just dont understand it.

Hes a nice player, hes fast, he played at a higher level than anyone thought during the regular season and was an absolute dud in the playoffs. The real Carl Hagelin likely lies in between the regular season and playoff version.

Sure, he probably has more value than Miller right now thanks for a good regular season - thats exactly why we should be exploiting that value and selling high.

Acquiring Nash with Dubinsky and Hagelin being the two roster players (who, in my opinion, will both wind up being closer to 3rd liners than top 6 players) is a wonderful situation for the Rangers.

I don't think it's a matter of not liking a guy, or not valuing him. It's the belief, or knowledge, that guys are going to have to go to add scoring. There is no way around it. People are not going to give us quality for b prospects and guys coming off down years. Everyone has their guys they don't want to trade, but at some point there someone's favorites are going to go.

We have to strike a balance between not selling the farm but also not keeping every hard working guy who lacks the top end talent we need.

Ultimately, I don't know exactly how that will look when all is said and done. I'm just not married to as many players as some other posters might be.

I think they'll be good in a few years too, but it's just so freaking odd. Don't you think? And he's a Wisconsin guy born and bred, he's more local at Chicago or Detroit, not Minnesota. Its just so freaking whacky

But hey, I'm not complaining this is best case scenario I think.

Pierre MaGuire looking like a fool? Noooooo Don't get me started on that man and his Pittsburgh bias and looking like a hyperactive idiot.

Well, look for Pittsburgh to heat up in trade talks now. Possibilities include Chi for Hjarmalson, San Jose for Murray/Clowe, Calgary for Bowmeester, etc.

My name was Hagelin for President, a WHILE ago, while he was still a prospect, because I followed him at Michigan and love the kid. What's wrong with that?

And for the bolded, I agree with you. I already said Hagelin is not a deal breaker for me. I'd do that trade. But if I had the option to include Hagelin or Miller with Dubinsky, I'd give Miller. It's my opinion.

In a vacuum, Id agree. Anisimov is soft and frustrates me to no end.

But hes a good fit for 3rd line center, and I dont like the looks of the depth down the middle of he goes.

Agree with best case scenario, and I can't speak for all the cities but maybe he likes the area there? Minnesota strikes me as a more outdoorsy type state and not as metro. That's just me making things up probably but Suter did say he didn't like the big city thing or media.

I would LOVE for MATT Carle to get overpaid. He is one of the worst Dmen I saw in the playoffs. Fans of that team are going to HATE that contract.

Just hope its not the Rangers.

I know what you mean. I don't know much about Minnesota either, I kind of compare it to Vermont sometimes since I actually know about Vermont.

I just think its odd that he goes from Nashville to Minnesota. I guess we'll see the numbers soon. Can't wait for that.
