“Brett was playing hockey last night in Owen Sound, Ontario when he suffered a medical emergency,” said Maloney. “Brett received CPR on site and was taken to a local hospital by ambulance where he was treated. He was then transported via an air ambulance to Knight University Hospital in London, Ontario where he was admitted to the cardiac ICU.
Spoke with Brad Treliving tonight.... Brett is in stable condition in a London area hospital. The next 24-48 hours are critical for his recovery.
It happened rather quick. He was playing a men's pick up game with Chris Minard and Mac just collapsed on the ice. They needed to use an AED and he was transported to an Owen Sound hosipital and later he was airlifted to London, ONT.
The Coyotes found out when Chris contact his brother and Pirates' goalie coach Mike Minard who informed Treliving.
Very good news to hear. Obviously it would be great if he still had a hockey career but right now I could care less about that, I hope the guy can recover and be healthy. I remember him from Oshawa and I'd end up watching him more than Tavares.
