Thank you! I wouldn't say that Ross is a way batter prospect than Ashton, but I'd give him the edge for sure. Also Ashton did score 71 points his last year in the WHL, but still doesn't match Ross' clip there. You can say points aren't everything, but in regards to grit and intangibles these guys are very similar. Ashton is bigger though if you think the extra size matters that much.

Ashton did actually scored 71 points in the WHL in 2010-11.

Tough choice between Ashton and Ross. I think Ross has a slightly higher upside, but Ashton is much more likely to stick it in the NHL.

And I'll be surprised if Ashton outproduces Abbott on the Marlies next season, let alone make an NHL top-6.
I have seen him several times actually. I know Ross is an absolute monster but Ashton has more skill in him that brings him in my rankings of a better player than Ross. I love Ross and I know he will come in handy with the leafs are in need for those pain in the ass situations where we are getting our ***** handed to us. However ashton is a guy who can score and stand up for your team and bruise the opposing team. Not as much of a pain ass Ross but he has more skill. Along with Colborne, Ashton had one of the biggest starts in the AHL. Boucher who is your avatar/name is also the guy who stated he is someone you want in this team and has immense skill and wouldn't be surprised if he ends up becoming a top line talent.

As I said I'm betting my Money on Ashton. He should be very strong with colborne who showed great chemistry in the AHL upcoming season.

Ross. Don't see the hype ( if any ) about Ashton.
