Positives to look forward to heading into next season

1. All of our players get a nice long rest after a grueling schedule for a 2 year stretch. Players like Bieksa, Kesler, Daniel as well as players coming off a season with minimal off season training after such serious injuries like Raymond and Malhotra who in their own right could both have a bounce back year.

2. One or more of our prospects will potentially have a break out year and if i had to choose 2 it'd be either Kassian or Jensen but i truly believe Jensen will surprise a lot of people in the up coming pre season games because of his scoring touch which is a sight to see. Kassian is just a matter of time for when he finds his stride and since it takes big skilled forwards like him a little longer to get going i am confident he'll be a key piece to our team very soon.

3. The Cory Schneider era is about to begin, we potentially have one of the top 3 goalie prospects that could turn into an elite starter and star for years to come.

4. Maxim Lapierre and Chris Higgins have proven to be key pieces to our team, while higgins was looking very good until he fell ill early into the season, Maxim really shined when he got his chance to play with the Sedins at the end of it. Higgins has his health under cobtrol again and Lapierre proved he can play on the first line and i expect him to fill in for Kesler on the power plays specifically.

5. Alex Edler i believe after a disappointing play off run will be very motivated before the season starts, we are very lucky to have a defenseman like him so i hope there's many fans who still have faith in Edler.

Positives? Well...it'll be nice to see what Jordan Schroeder can do. I believe if we keep the team mostly the same as it is right now we'll be in line for a solid draft pick in what's deemed to be a deep draft. And by all accounts Nicklas Jensen has looked great in prospects camp right now, I'm excited to see what he can do next year.

With AV it's unlikely, but hopefully in the pre-season at least I'd love to see what a Jensen-Schroeder-Kassian line could do.

I'm pumped to see Kassian really begin to come into his own. And the twins, that's always something to look forward to. Also Scnheids in the starting roll.

IMO, the old core is done, so I'm not expecting anything but further gradual decline from them.

What I am positively looking forward to is lots of youngsters getting lots of playing time - let's see how the kids are developing.

At this point that's what I'm hoping for. If we aren't able to get an impact player and address our needs, then I would like to see us give our youngsters some meaningful icetime rather than pin our hopes on the same vets and lesser players and get bounced in the playoffs again.

I am literally excited about Nicklas Jensen. I love his size and skill combination and would love to see what he can do with a great playmaker like Jordan Schroeder. I also hope to see Kevin Connauton up here and given some meaningful PP time.

Not having to watch Chara lift the cup every time I watch CBC is the thing I'm looking forward to!

We are favoured to make the finals.(Our odds of winning the cup are 2nd only to the Penguins)

If there is a season next year, that will greatly increase our chances of winning the Cup next season, LOL.

Hopefully a bunch of posters will swear off the Canucks by midnight tonight. This would be a tremendous positive.

We know for sure who our starting goalie is going to be moving forward?

Hoping to see some of the Canuck draft picks play regularly next season. We all know Nonis nabbed the Nucks next to nothing in 2006 and 2007. Still feeling the effects of the Bourdon motorcycle accident.

Want to see what Schroeder and Jensen can do up front. Want to see what Sauve and KConn can do from the back end. Time for Gillis' picks to do something. Oldest ones should turn 22/23 in 2012, so they are not kids anymore. Time to show their stuff.

For the twins, I would like to see them play on different lines to change things up when Kesler returns. Have to change things up a bit for the playoffs if the need arises. Not as if they wouldn't know how to play together when they get re-united.

I also want to see the team improve on their "shooting for rebounds". For some strange reason, the team seems to always shoot the puck into the goalie's glove or chest when they have a teammate going to the front of the net. Have to learn to get the shot in low and onto the far pad, thus forcing the goalie to kick the puck out to the slot area.
