I just (6/8/12) overhauled the hockey game I edit again. I realigned the playoff brackets to accommodate the the progressing matchups through the finals. this should be the final update of this game. check it out:
basically, it is an edit of NHL '94 for the SNES with current players and lines in place of the 1993 rosters. it was created thanks in no small part to the knowledge and assistance of members of this message board. it has more going on than that, but.... you could find out exactly what by trying it. it won't hurt you.
I am loving the cartridge; it's nice playing with the real system and the SNES controllers. this post is to serve as a huge THANK YOU to everybody here that knowingly and unknowingly participated in the production of the game by helping me to set the player attributes and the likes through responses to threads in these forums. agility, speed, shot power... I couldn't just pull all of these player attributes from game statistics, so I truly needed your support. I got it. big time. thank you.
I really thought I wouldn't be updating this again, but I needed to have the cartridge replaced (it stopped working), so I adjusted a few things that bothered me about the game in the meantime. mostly minor stuff was changed, but I also updated the NJD and LAK rosters and lines to reflect the final game's lineups, which I felt was important. also, instead of defaulting to the fourth line on powerplays, it is the now the powerplay line as the default with the fourth line as an option when the powerplay line needs rest. I like that better. blah, blah, blah... download it again:
