Interesting that Quebec drafted Grigorenko's cska MHL teammate Nikita Kucherov. (Tampa 2nd 2011) Maybe Roy thinks the odds are good both will be there.

They also wanted him in 2011 but couldn't receive confirmation that he'd come over, so they opted for Nick Sörensen instead.

If Grigorenko goes back, I think they might try shopping Sörensen (because of the two import player limit) and bringing in Kucherov instead because of his previous experience playing with Grigorenko, the fact that he's an older player, and the fact that he isn't coming off of complete reconstructive surgery on his knee like Sörensen is.

He refused a big contract from CSKA to come in the QMJHL. It was clear he was going to do the same for the NHL!

Nice to see money can't buy every player!

I think Lindy's favorite all time player was a Russian. Lindy used to ride Alexei Zhitnik to no end. Hopefully this works out the same.

Yep. It's a nice sock in the eye to the folks where were whispering he'd go to the KHL. Now, get him back in the gym!

Even a Risk board differentiates between the Ukraine and Russia. You should too.
