Hell, he's almost there NOW.

It still amazes me how much other teams overpay our FAs (Holik, Gomez, Gionta, Parise). They still think "if he's this good on that boring NJ team, he'll be GREAT on our team". Doesn't usually work out for them.

Russo, the Wild beat writer, is busy speculating what numbers Parise and Suter will wear. Ugh. **** off.

If we weren't a hair away from bankruptcy, I would say the exact same thing you're saying but that's not the case. We had to know that we wouldn't be able to compete with all those mental offers that were going to get thrown his way, especially when the market is bone dry.

Anyways, I don't want this to go round and round, so back to work for me.

While Parise has basically stopped returning TG's phone calls, he allowed Russo to stalk him at an airport

Russo hasn't had this much fun in years. He covered the panthers and then the wild.

Can I join the Parise hate fest? Just kidding. I put on my Parise shirt and skated around this morning for seemingly the last time. I will miss Zach, but he's been a great Devil and a consummate professional. I hope the young guys learned a thing or three from him and I will continue to root for the best team in the world (that's not located in Los Angeles, or your kitchen).

Happy Fourth Devils Fans.

Bold statement. It's possible, but I want to see Henrique improve significantly next season before I jump on this bandwagon.

I fell for this hook, line and sinker.

Again, you people are dreaming with this 'low wage' talk. You think it's an accident Semin's waiting for Zach to go off the board? He's getting paid a pretty penny too once desperate teams turn their lonely eyes to him.

This is very similar to the hours before Kovy signed when everyone was so sure it was going to be LA... that said I don't think we get lucky twice.

Same.

Everyone else who left us we saw it was coming. There wasn't really much hope and instead there was closure.

Parise instead further enamored himself in our hearts with all of his comments.. and now it looks like (not going to say he has until he officially has) he just did it to put the knife a little deeper before he pulled it out.

Let's not bring Sykora's skating in to this. hi-oh!

I just don't want Lou to over react if does walk and we end up with an over paid Doan or something to that effect.

Blah, more and more people keep saying this, there must be something to it.

I expect the trend to hold if Parise goes to the Wild. Only place he'd probably actually do better is Pittsburgh.
