If I were Lou at this point I'd be trying to trade two of Volchenkov, Tallinder, and Greene to get at least 6-7 mil in cap space and money for Suter.

No kidding, he can't possibly live up to the expectations created by having a $100 M dollar contract. He must know this, he's seen it first hand with Kovy's struggles.

The Ducks aren't going to get a stud like Henrique, Couturier, Schenn, etc IMO. They'll get a solid package of youth and one roster player. The only teams I can see throwing a stud the other way are teams that are in the basement and need to sacrifice a bluechip prospect currently playing in the NHL to bolster their lineup, giving them a shot at making the playoffs.

If I'm the manager of that team, I keep my kids and build threw the draft, not like what Howson did when acquiring Carter or signing average blueliners to all-star contracts (The Wizz comes to mind).

Is it a coincidence that you avoided Ronnie's post or you're just scared to reply to a mod the same way you reply to my posts.

We went to the cup finals, everyone's happy, now get over it. Are you going to talk about it for the entire summer? Every year, there's always a different team fighting for the cup so if you think we have the receipe to attend the big dance each and every year because we made it a month ago, then more power to you.

Our blueline played over it's head, especially Salvador with his career high production and we managed to play the way opponents played against us when getting knocked of the 1st round year, after year, after year. A heavy forecheck ment to we spent more time in their zone then in our zone and that was a big reason why we went to the finals. We'll play the same system, there's no way around that, but we might not have Parise and I'm convinced Salvador won't have the same type of production he had in our cup run, ever.

Teams tweek things, even after playing for the cup. The Canucks went to the cup last year and are considering moving their #1 netminder, they signed Garrisson, etc. Odds of us going to the cup weren't in our favour but we managed to beat those odds and that's fantastic news for us fans, the players, the organisation and the owners.

One thing you don't do is think you're unbeatable because you were 2 games away from lifting the cup. The approach Lou has with upcoming free agents, especially our core players, needs to change and that's my pov. If you like losing studs for free and having to scramble to replace their production, that's your pov.

No one is right here and no one is wrong. You don't need to act like a certain someone and throw stupid remarks in order to think you have the upper hand on a message board.

Again, I wish you would've had the balls to reply to Ronnie the way you replied to my post.
Ronnie never said we should've TRADED anyone. He said Lou should focus more on extending them.

You're putting words in his mouth, but that's just because you have a virtually listless hold on the english language

Nah. It was the Money. Always has been the money and always will be the money.

Plus, add the fact that his home is in Minny and you can call it a wrap.

But I'm still hopeful that things could take a "TROLLVACHUK" turn.

Ok so it's pretty much set that parise will sign with the same team Suter does....anyone think there is a chance Lou can trade 2 dmen to make more room for Suter? Oh and the catch is it has to be done by 12pm today. Even I don't know if Lou is that good.

I don't understand all of the tampering talk. Give me the cliff notes on why? Zach knew Minny would throw a ton of $ at him, all teams were going to. How is that tampering

Someone has to send that clip to whoever will be running our PP. That setup is exactly what everyone wanted to see since day #1 of the 2011-2012 campaign.

Please, please put Kovy on the left side boards with Zidlicky or Harrold at the top. We actually have two guys with bombs who can play the point and Kovy's one timer is way more lethal when he's closer to the net then at the blueline.

That was just a sick setup right there.

Expect Steve Sullivan to sign with the Phoenix Coyotes today. Good fit after the loss of Whitney.

In this age of social media it is going to be hard to distinguish between what is and what is not tampering.

This isn't the way to leave your team of 9 years WHERE YOU ARE CAPTAIN.

You don't string your teammates and fans along like this.

IDC about any of that personally. I'd be a hypocrite since I'm a Yankees fan to be mad when a free agent left my team for the $$$.

If he leaves, it's just another proof that money talks. A player can say anything about loyalty and wanting to win, but in the end, it's all about the dollars.

Give it a couple years. He'll be on a huge salary, with low production, and that team will still be going nowhere, and they'll start to get on him.
