Whoa, I never said he will, said I could see Lou doing it, it depends what he finds out or knows, if the Wild left no trail he might not waste his time.

Zach knows the good thing he had going on here. I'm not sure Paul Martin and Scott Gomez did.

This isn't the way to leave your team of 9 years WHERE YOU ARE CAPTAIN.

You don't string your teammates and fans along like this.
Running out on a team that you just captained to the Cup Final for the money is pretty low. People will remember that.

If he doesn't at least invite the possibility or look into it, he should just retire as GM and walk away.

In the near term, he needs to spend the next few days on contingencies for the roster.

I don't know anything concrete, but I have heard rumors that his fiancee does not want to live in Minnesota.

I Agree we should file hell it would be on us. I don't know what we would get from it. I just never feel good about us getting a favorable response. Go for it Lou

Give it a couple years. He'll be on a huge salary, with low production, and that team will still be going nowhere, and they'll start to get on him.
Couple of years?

Zachy-poo doesn't like the limelight or the stress. Left tears and skidmarks in his undies just thinking about where to go.

Now? Hometown boy, Captain America, coming back to lead the Wild out of 40 years in the wilderness on a monster contract?

Turn on the spotlights with huge day 1 expectations....

Dad may like that, Zach less so.

Love Kariya because he played at Maine, and I love Selanne too...but that Colorado year is just a blight on both of their careers.

You're putting words in his mouth, but that's just because you have a virtually listless hold on the english language
He said Lou should stop letting our key guys test free agency. By that, he either means that he should sign players during the regular season, wich I said multiple times, or try and get something in return for a top notch talent, wich is what I've been saying. So it's either one or the other. I never said that Ronnie flat out stated that we should've moved Parise for prospects and picks.

If our pending UFA doesn't want to extend, you pull a Shero. Did they lose out in the deal they got from Carolina? One would say they lost the better player, I'll give you that, but Sutter is no chump and they acquired solid prospects to stay competitive in the next couple of years.

I'm certain it wasn't a easy decision on his part because Staal is a heck of a player but at the end of the day, you do what's best for your franchise and since he knew he wanted to play with Eric, he got the best return possible whitout hurting his team all that much.

If we would've gotten nothing but prospects and picks, I fully agree with you that it wouldn't be worth it but if that's really how you feel, you are cutting Parise and his value around the league, real short.

They just better not give it to Zajac, or the captain revolving door will become like the head coach one.
