Ya not going to happen. Etem will be given every chance to succeed or fail before they even entertain trading him.

Kyle Palmieri is your best bet if you are looking to get a wing player from the Ducks with a similar skill set.

On the other hand, I can definitely see the Ducks being interested in acquiring Beau Bennett as part of a larger package for Bobby Ryan. Bennett & Item are both local kids who are friends and could potentially be dynamite together.

I don't see Bennett being enough of a draw to make that happen. It's not like Etem is the only local kid in the system. We just signed Lasch and drafted Kerdiles.

What possible reason would the Ducks have for trading him? Unless he's part of a package for an established star forward/top line D there's simply no incentive to move him.

Not that I want a deal like this to go down but a SoCal line of Bennett-Kerdiles-Etem would be something

Like someone said earlier Etem will be given every chance to succeed here in Anaheim. They couldn't believe he was still there at 29.

Many posters before the draft saw us taking him at 12, so everyone was definitely shocked that we could get him at 29.
