Hurts both teams, and I'm not sure either team does that. I'd rather go after Enstrom as he is a top 15 defenceman and he may be moved this offseason. What would it take to get Enstrom WPG fans?

Not enough for those two, and I don't think Winnipeg wants to trade their best forward and best defenseman.

How about swapping Bogo for Enstrom?

Is this a serious thread?

Would spare parts from Winnipeg be enough for Datsyuk and Zetterberg?

Yeah, no. Kane isn't for sale, nor is Bogo.

Kane and Bogo are not for sale. Getting Datsyuk in a package for them doesn't even make sense for us. And oh yeah.. Quincey LOL

We haven't heard very much from the Enstrom camp this summer. If he wasn't going to resign I could see him being available.

I think something like Burns but instead of a roster player, a prospect, and a pick, it might be better to get 2 prospects and a pick (reason being there isn't a young Setoguchi type on the Wings at the moment).

None of those guys are spare parts. Franzen and Filppula would replace the scoring of Kane and help out defensively. If you throw in the 1st and a good prospect could even out that value. If you don't like the package, there is nothing wrong with that. But Franzen, Filppula, Nyquist and Quincey are not spare parts. I would rather keep them all then trade them for one player anyways.

Honestly they probably will cost less combined then what you will end up paying Kane. Franzens contract is long but has a great cap hit and Filppula will be due for about 4.5-5 mil. I understand not wanting to trade Kane I think he will be the best power forward in the league when he blossoms but there just isn't any sense in trading 3 top six wingers for him.

Tatar + Sheahan + Conditional first (Top-5 protected, two second rounders if top-5)?

If he's not interested in staying in Winnipeg, of course.

You aren't going to get a reasonable counter for an RFA player that they aren't selling and have under their control for at least four more years. Winnipeg's entire strategy is predicated upon developing and growing young players in-house. They aren't giving up that particular asset (a guy that just scored 30 goals at 20 years of age) no matter how much you claim you'd like to acquire him.

These are all beyond terrible. The value of Kane is far higher than any of you would like to believe and Bogosian's is right up there as well. Kane alone could fetch two top-10 picks, or the equivalent in prospects or young roster players. The Jets have no need for aging players and late firsts if they're giving up their best young players.

If you are looking to acquire a player from Winnipeg, let us talk about Enstrom instead, since that deal is at least realistically something within the realm of possibility - dependent upon the return.

What is your offer? Keep in mind that many others will also want his services. Kane and Bogo are staying in Winnipeg however.

??? in exchange for Enstrom

Mine wasn't for Kane or Bogosian. :/

Franzens contract is long and is a terrible cap hit for a guy that is not going to keep producing until he's 40. I wouldn't want anything to do with Franzen and his contract. Do not want at all.

What Filppula is "going" to make is irrelevant. He is an upcoming UFA. The Jets would be foolish to trade Kane, a guy they have control over for 4 more years and take back a soon to be UFA.

I think something like that is probably fair value if we go off of the Burns and Kaberle examples.

The Jets may push for other prospects (or ones they like), and the Wings may try to include lesser ones (although I wouldn't take prospects any lower than these).

All in all I think this is an established value for a high end D man with 1 year left on his contract.

Detroit would lose too much offense in that deal. That's over 70+ goals gone...

Wings aren't in the rebuild stage, so pass.

Us Jets fans are already past the initial OP offer. It doesn't even get an after thought. We've moved on to possible Enstrom trade scenario's instead. Try to keep up!
