I thought it was established that Kreider, Stepan, or McDonagh weren't required in the deal. You guys have a short memory?
Dude, they wanted Skinner! Howson has and still does want a kings ransom. As I just said in the main board, it was confirmed that Columbus refused 6 extra draft picks just to move down 2 spots. His confirmed track record shows that he's a bit unreasonable...

And you're going to pay Weber 8M/year? That's more than twice as much as Staal makes. So much for adding a top 6 winger to the mix.
Thats the point, you do one or the other. I'm not in love with the idea either. It makes us overly reliable on our PP. But if Krieder turns into a top left wing, it could be the smartest move Sather ever made.
Without debating who will score how many goals.... I believe your offer would in the end bring Nash to NY.
Nash put up 59 points last year. Obviously not the best of CBJ teams to be on. So I think Nash can get you 70-80 points on a better team.
AA and Dubinsky both had down years. However AA is only 24 years old. Dubinsky is 26? I think Anisimov can get you 45 points. And Dubinsky can get you at least 50 points. Combined that's more production for less money and younger players that CBJ would be getting. On top of the fact they get prospect forward and a draft pick or two. What they do with those picks are their mistakes.
How good does Ryan Johansen project to be? If actually manage to get him along with Nash (doubtful), then I might be willing to part with Stepan.
Howson the clown as Craig Patrick in his ear. The organization needs to turn the ship around, starting with their scouting and player development. They are not trading Johansen.
Webber is better than any d man we have. Would help the power play tremendously, and still give us shut down D. There is no way IMO staal would hold up a deal for him unless forwards or more as well had to go back

In YOUR opinion.
Guys running the show have not indicated ever, that there's any interest in either trading Staal or trading for Weber.
