What's up with the Phantoms...

After their winning streak, I believe they're way below .500. Leading our division doesn't matter... but for some reason, we're not as good as we were.

Anyone have any ideas?

I'm not sure, I was at the game last night and outside of Niittymaki, the team did not look impressive at all and I believe that Syracuse is last in their division.

umm they're not even close to being under .500, they're 22-8-2-3 which is .700

they are going through one of those stretches right now that every team goes through. relax people, they will turn it around. Manchester has also struggled of late so your not alone. Both teams have too much talent to be playing the way they are.

Would you agree that the Phantoms expended alot of energy to keep that seventeen winning streak alive? I listened to the game last night and it just sounded like the Phantoms were flat and just couldn't skate.
*interesting note there are three defenceman injured.

Apparently Syracuse ended their winning streak so they probably just have the Phantoms number. The Pittsburgh Penguins beat the Flyers a lot last year too.

I said under .500 since the end of their win streak, meaning they may still have a winning record, but the games they played since then equal under .500

It seems that every time I see SYR vs PHI, it ends up with SYR on the upside lately. Apparently it's been an ongoing trend since that one Phantoms game I was at where they had a buttload of fights against the Crunch in (somewhere near) a 4-1 loss. Guess my Flyers karma doesn't work too well with the AHL.

The Flyers didn't get beaten by the Pens, but they should have been 6-0, not 2-1-3.

oops I guess those 3 ties against Pittsburgh hurt as much as a loss against another team

If we would have won more games against the Penguins we would've gotten 2nd overall in the conference (Tampa sweeped the season series). We would have played Montreal instead of the Devils and probably won the Stanley Cup

Everytime I check the Phantoms site these days, it seems they always loose in a shootout. Atleast they're not getting blown out of the water every night

Hah. The Devils weren't quite the team giving them problems
