We get lots of new faces over the year and it's nice to be have a better idea of who you're talking to. I'm probably missing some things that we could add... Feel free to add more yourself

Name(if you want):

Favourite Player:

Your best "I called it" with a Player developing:

Player that you thought would be a star, but busted:

Hockey Experience:

Little About Yourself:

For me...

Name(if you want): Jeff

Favourite Player: surprisingly, not Nuge... Shane Doan

Your best "I called it" with a Player developing: Ryan Kesler

Player that you thought would be a star, but busted: Mattias Tedenby (not a bust just yet, but the future isn't looking quite so bright)

Hockey Experience: Played Goalie and did some BC Provincial level tournaments and some rep, but mostly just kept it recreational

Little About Yourself: I'm a golf pro and that's about all I have time for

Favourite Player: The Nuge, that kid can play

You're best "I called it" with a Player developing: Ryan Suter, when he first made the Preds, I was working at the Team and doing Kevin Karius' radio show, and I said to him, look out for this kid he'll be a player.

Player that you thought would be a star, but busted: Even though it was injury related, Dan Blackburn, I thought he'd be an outstanding starter for years. HM: Dennis Grebeshkov

Hockey Experience: Won multiple Silver Metals at the Provincial Level, in Peewee, Bantam and Midget. Best player I ever played against, in a St Albert Saints Camp, (and that I can correctly remember) is Kyle Chipchura

Little About Yourself: I'm an afternoon host and local music director for a small town Radio Station in North Central Alberta. Kind of an Oilers fan.

Favourite Player: All time, it's tied between Bure and Forsberg but currently it's the Yak or Ovechkin

You're best "I called it" with a Player developing: I can't really remember, Ryan Getzlaf probably

Player that you thought would be a star, but busted: Pavel Brendl, what an upset. Schremp to. EDIT: Maybe Justin Pogge, what a bust. (All these Hitmen are letting me down! )

Hockey Experience: Played hockey all my life since I could crawl, played Division 1 and AAA most of my life until I was 14, then I just decided to play rec with my friends. Played against Matt Dumba for a couple years and I believe I might have played against Hallsy but I was never able to confirm

Little About Yourself: I'm a big hockey fan, not doing much at the moment, took a year off school to decide what I'm doing but I think I found my passion in writing. Have a girlfriend that I've been with for 2 years and I'm from Calgary AB, born in Edmonton though

Name(if you want):

Favourite Player: Jordan Eberle

You're best "I called it" with a Player developing: Jaromir Jagr. His hair made me hate him for the first few years of his career but I always believed if you were willing to walk around with THAT ugly of a mullet you've got to have a ton of confidence.

Player that you thought would be a star, but busted: Patrick Lalime. He had such a great start to his career in Pittsburgh I remember telling my brother he was going to take a team to a cup one day. He came close with Ottawa but then just completely fell apart.

Hockey Experience: 20 years of ball hockey goaltending

Little About Yourself: I recently switched careers from telecom (I used to work for Telus) to being an insurance broker.

Favourite Player: Present? Eberle. All time Gretz.

You're best "I called it" with a Player developing: Hmmph, I would say Parise. I was enraged when he fell into our laps and our front office was smarter than everyone else.

Player that you thought would be a star, but busted: Tough one, Dale McCourt or Doug Wikenheiser I suppose.

Hockey Experience: Played up until midget age. (15 years old.)
Good hockey sense, decent scorer, no shot, suspect skater, no work ethic.

Little About Yourself: I am professional complainer, President of the Shawn Horcoff fan club. Have a yellow Lab, work at one of the post secondary institutions in Edmonton.

Favourite Player: There are a few. I guess I'll say Hemmer. I am still a big fan of his dangle/crash-the-net move he was once so good at.

Your best "I called it" with a Player developing: haha....none. I did call the Thrashers->Jets deal about a year in advance, though, but that was pretty plain to see...

Player that you thought would be a star, but busted: Robert Nilsson comes to mind...among others...

Hockey Experience: EA Sports, bobbleheads, "have lived near Toronto" etc.

Little About Yourself: Live in the Peg. Born in AB. (Hence the unnecessary Oilers' board posting).

Player that you thought would be a star, but busted: Brian Swanson

Hockey Experience: Going to Ryan Smyths house and playing hockey with... His dog.

Little About Yourself: I wish I had played hockey with Ryan Smyth instead of his dog.

Name: Prefer not to say,

Favourite Player: I used to really like Marian Hossa and Todd Marchant. I don't have an all time favorite. Right now, it's probably Ryan Nugent-Hopkins with Smid being second.

You're best "I called it" with a Player developing: Parise. I knew he'd be a star.

Player that you thought would be a star, but busted:

Hockey Experience: Played until 16 as a stay at home D. I quit because hockey isn't big in the south, and it was too much hassle to continue.

Little About Yourself: I am a chemical engineer by profession, I live in the American South, and I spend way too much time on this site

Your best "I called it" with a Player developing: Joe Thornton?

Player that you thought would be a star, but busted: Not really a bust but I thought Yanic Perreault was going to be a superstar. Used to watch him play a lot back on the baby Leafs (St. John's) with my grandfather. He still holds the record for most points by an AHLer in St. John's.

Hockey Experience: House league and silver medal in all star at the tender age of 13.

Little About Yourself: MUN student.

You're best "I called it" with a Player developing: Martin St. Louis

Player that you thought would be a star, but busted: Steve Passmore

Hockey Experience: Shinny on a dugout and floor hockey. Had one of my students (a recent WHL 1st round pick in the Bantam draft) ask how I was so good after making server Hasek-esque rolling legs saves and Fuhr like glove saves on him.

Little About Yourself: Teacher

Favourite Player: RNH All Time: Gretzky

You're best "I called it" with a Player developing: Mike York. I know, sounds funny but, I watched him play as a Bantam and I said he would be an NHLer.

Player that you thought would be a star, but busted: Andrew Cogliano. Not a bust but also not the perennial 30 goal 60-70 point player I was expecting.

Hockey Experience: 6 years minor hockey, a few years of pick up hockey, lifetime of road hockey, pond hockey, floor hockey, watching hockey, reading about hockey, writing about hockey, etc.

Little About Yourself: I work in sales and no, you don't have to lie, cheat or steal to make a living selling stuff. LOL.

Player I despise: Avery, Lindros, Lemieux, Linden

Greatest game I ever saw on TV: Islanders/Rangers Game 5 1984

Greatest game I ever saw in person: 2001 Devils 6 Oilers 5 (ot)

Second favorite team: Maybe the Blues, Lightning or Kings

Team I despise: Canucks

Favorite Oilers moment: I could go on for pages but, a few are: 1st cup in '84, Tikkanen takes over game 7 1991 vs Flames, Anderson scores insurance goal in game 7 1987 vs Philadelphia, Gretzky scores in OT shorthanded in game 2 against Calgary 1988.

Second favorite sport and team: Baseball - Seattle Mariners

Favourite Player: Current - Eberle, All time - Kurri

Your best "I called it" with a Player developing: Hmm, I dunno. Federov probably. I was crazy about him when he first got drafted.

Player that you thought would be a star, but busted: This is an easy one, Daigle, hands down. I thought he was going to be the 90's version of Gretzky.

Hockey Experience: Played from age 5-18, played a little goal early on then mostly center afterwards. Some house league, some rep.

Little About Yourself: When I was little my dad worked at Fuhr Ford, so that is where my passion for the Oilers comes from. After we moved from Edmonton we spent a lot of my young life living all over the country, so I didn't get to see a lot of the Oil until moving to Meadow Lake SK when I was 15. Big MMA and Riders fan as well

Favourite Player: Bure/CuJo growing up, probably Ebs now.

You're best "I called it" with a Player developing: I've only been seriously following the draft for 4 years now... too early to tell I guess

Player that you thought would be a star, but busted: O'Mark... for some reason, I just had a feeling about the kid from the moment we drafted him...

Hockey Experience: Played goal my whole life as a kid. Was really good, but had confidence destroyed when I was losing spots on teams to weaker tenders just because I was undersized. Got back into beer league's as a forward a couple years ago, loving it. (highlight, when I was 12, I got to play at a camp with Curtis Joseph, sadly, the year he left Edmonton. Joe Thornton was also there, he was a rook)

Little About Yourself: Working on 2nd degree, part-time Manager on the side. Musician.

Favourite Player: Hemsky, Hall

Your best "I called it" with a Player developing: Angelo Esposito (Knew he was gonna bust). David Perron (From the same draft, I thought he was gonna be a good player, so far he's proved me right)

Player that you thought would be a star, but busted: Rob Schremp and Jack Campbell (I don't think he will ever start in the NHL).

Hockey Experience: When I was in Grade.7 I tried to play hockey with the class. I tried to play Defense but I just stood at the blue line waving my stick and falling down. Soccer is my thang.

Little About Yourself: Unemployed and living at home. Girls u know wuts up. Haha. Jokes. Now my gf is gonna hit me but anyways I play a ton of games, mostly SC2, NHL, Call of Duty, FIFA, Diablo and a relatively unknown game called Tibia.

I also love soccer, luckily for me a lot of my friends like it too so I don't have a lot of people being like OMG SOCCER SUCH A FAIRY SPORT.

Ever see those Gatorade commercials where the athletes sweat Gatorade? That's me. Gatorade is my life.
