I was just musing on the trades between the leafs and the bruins. The leafs essentially set up the bruins franchise for the next decade+ by handing them Seguin, Hamilton and Rask. Those 3 should comprise the backbone of what's to come from BOS.

BOS's young top6 + Goaltender should see them through any changes on D... and it's all thanks to the leafs.

It could be worse. It could be the Leafs set up for success for the next decade+.

I'd rather it be the Leafs. At least their fans eat with a knife and fork.

Great deal. He's going to be money the next few years.

Larry Brooks said it best about this deal with something along the lines of:

Simmonds signs a 6 year deal. Before the CBA expires and his owner wants a 5 year max contract to be implemented.

From Canucks FB.

These Canucks are everywhere. Kevin Bieksa ventured to Crowsnest Pass, Alberta today for the Rick Rypien Memorial Hockey Camp as he spoke with the great kids taking part in the program.

First question in the Q&A?

"My mom has a crush on you."

James Mirtle tweeting that Scott Hannan signs with the Preds. One year, one million.

Would have been a great depth addition, but not for $1 million. Shades of Aaron Miller.

But really, it's not even that bad...hmm. And it's like half of them have played for the Avalanche or Capitals at some point. Seems like those two teams in particular draw a lot of talent from BC.

I take that "greater" loosely. Now when you add Price, that line up looks pretty good. Also throw in Hamhuis and Weber.

A current Team BC would look like this:

Lucic - Johansen - Oshie

B. Connolly

(otherwise:

E. Kane - RNH - Benn
Lucic - Johansen - Turris
Ladd - Horcoff - Brouwer
Yip - Fraser - Kobasew)

Weber - Seabrook
Hamhuis - Garrison
Mitchell - Gorges
Alzner

Price
LaBarbera
Thiessen (or Conklin, if we're still stealing from Alaska and Washington)
That defense.

...

All-time:

Kariya-Sakic-Recchi
Ronning-Yzerman-Neely
G. Adams-Ferraro-Anderson
G. Courtnall-Morrison-R. Courtnall
Walter

Defense is literally the same, apparently. Add Doug Lidster.

Price
Moog
Cesare Maniago?

Would probably never be done because it's a live cover, but 1:00 into this would be the best goal song ever.

In the other forum, it was decided that Ontario had too big of an advantage, so it was split into Team GTA and Team Rest of Ontario. Tee-hee.

I've seen this suggested on CDC and HF for about 2 years. The current Clutch song used was suggested to DJ Dave for like 4 years and he finally gave in, so who knows keep on
Pestering him. But he seems real reluctant to take any advice or recommendations. Btw 2:02 works better as a goal song.

Why don't we just sign Brock Lesnar? He seems to excel at every sport he tries.

We should have signed Kim Jong-il at his prime. Now that's an all round sports superstar!

Forget North Korea's nuclear arms program, it's a just there to distract the world away the fact it is building an supersoldier army of Kim Jong-il clones.
