Wellwood never has a worry about being called Wellfed anymore.

In fact he might be on the Wellwood diet - as in he ate Wellwood

I feel like that's too much money. He's only had one good season.

Wow, what a deal for the Caps. Don't get why Carlson would sign for that long and that cheap.

I thought the league (Bettman & Co.) were against contracts longer than 5 years?

Agreed.

I would have offersheeted him the the 1,2, and 3rd compensation.

He's a stud.

Great move by McPhee, and absolutely misinformed by Carlson's agent...wouldn't his comparable's be closer to Karlsson and Myers than Gorges.

Oilers equipment staff showed up at Kinsmen arena today and took away all team-issued socks and sweaters from players.

Hahahahaha, wow, that's hilarious.

I noticed Zach Boychuk was put on waivers. He wouldn't be a bad gamble as a possible playmaker for Kesler's line.

I can't decide if that is 1.2m or 5.9m per year? That doesn't seem good.

Interesting. That would be a decent waiver pickup.

He is a smallish C that hasn't really produced much at the NHL level yet. An option on the third line possibly if Kesler was in the line-up, but meh... They probably want him to get some ice time in the AHL.
