Stanley, then Foley, then it gets tough for me. Probably Green next.

repost from last thread:

I went with De Leo here as he's the only one on the list who ticks off both of these criteria:

1) looked like a player whenever I watched him
2) put up the numbers to show for it

For me, it's De Leo.

Surprised me with his AHL stats.

I really liked Harkins last season as a great value pick. I think he'll have a much stronger season this season, and be thought of as one of our better prospects.

In general, I think he is more likely to reach the NHL in any role than our other remaining prospects.

Chase De Leo - Is he 3rd line or bust? How much value is there in 3rd line vs 2nd pair?
Erik Foley - Will his scoring jump with a healthy season?
Luke Green - How much of his low A2s and PP TOI hurt his results?
Jansen Harkins - Will he bounce back?
Scott Kosmachuk - Will he show the 3rd line upside he showed in his Draft+2 season?
Jan Kostalek - Will he bounce back?
Sami Niku - Will his extremely good results in Liiga translate?
Tucker Poolman - How much upside does he have as an older player?
Michael Spacek - Will he be more like his first or second half in the WHL?
Logan Stanley - Will he put the tools together to improve his performance?

All have question marks. How you weight these questions will differ.

Foley. I think he has a pro style bottom 6 game to him. De Leo and Kosmochuk seem like top 6 AHL guys to me. I see a guy like Foley being able to grind his way into a NHL lineup. The D guys are just too boom or bust yet for me here.

I think this is one of those rare situations where having a D associated with your name is a good thing. Given our depth at forward, even with the greater number of positions, the chances of cracking the roster on defense seem much better. So, to my way of thinking the questions associated with the forwards outweigh those of the d-men.

Edit: Nominate Cederholm.

Also, a second pair dman has a larger impact than a 3rd line forward. Same with 3rd pair and 4th line.

I think it really says something about our prospect pool when Chris Pronger 2.0 is rated tenth.

Green. I feel like he's a better defensive prospect than Stanley or Poolman and has top 4 upside.
