Nice summary there and I saw this nugget of info that I found a pleasant surprise...

I'm also intrigued by Sustr...
I'm very intrigued by Sustr. That's a big man.ffff

We're going to have a very mobile, highly skilled blue line. Very excited for the future.

Haha. I said the same thing. His BC pic...he had no neck. He looked like a linebacker.

I don't know and I'm not sure I care. We're overloaded with offensive-minded prospects. If we can have a 6'8" completely filled out and mobile shut-down guy in 3 or 4 years, think about what that would mean. If he can learn to be positionally strong at this level and physically aggressive around the net... although he'd potentially be a bad screen situation too... fuhgettabout it.

PS - Dumoulin is an animal as suspected. I had a feeling about that guy (no homo) that he might be exactly what we need with a season in the AHL, should Orpik continue to falter. Let's hope his game matches his physical stature this year. He definitely has the right attitude.

I do worry a bit about that. Playing his style all these years takes a toll on the body. Josh Yohe was mentioning this awhile back, saying how many abdominal surgeries that Brooks has had. Those things take a long time to heal, probably longer than he is able to rest it.

Yup. Dishing out free candy is akin to being a member of the 300. Sure you may have some tears in your abdomen and whatnot, but you fight on... for Freedom!

Tom Fitzgerald said this current group of prospects is the best we have had during his tenure.

Heard the Harrington interview today. Extremely well spoken. Sounds like such a great kid.

I hope we can get him signed then if he has a good showing at camp. It would be awesome having a guy his size on our blue line.

I'm definitely pulling for him.

Except he can skate, doesn't treat the puck like it's going to blow up at any second. I also wouldn't bank on the kid getting up to 250 lbs or anything. He's probably going to stick around 220

Started posting on various boards in 99, was offered my own space at LGP in 2001. Been at every training camp since then. I feel old now.

Better skater and passer in the limiting viewings I've seen of him.

From what netwolf has said about a few of these guys, its no wonder Fitzgerald is so high on our current group of prospects. Sustr looks like a kid that could be the next Hal Gill with greater mobility (he was able to keep up with Marcantuoni ). Dumoulin just looks NHL ready with his body size. And from what I've read about Morrow's shot (which we all know was on display during last years preseason), I'd consider him to be the next guy on the point on our PP in the next year or two. From the Despres inverview, he just looks really confident, and I think has a solid shot at being a full-time NHLer this year (that, and his play with the big club when he was called up in the RS and his short stint in the playoffs was pretty good indication of what this kid can do, if he plays consistently).

He wants to finish college, so they won't be able to sign him right now. They're probably trying to get a leg up on the competition by inviting him to camp and showing him the organization/facilities etc.

I think he's going to another camp this year and went to the Rangers camp last year, it will be interesting to see if he comes back to camp next year.

Oh I didn't know that... I'd love to have a massive human in our defensive prospect group though.

A lot going on, tough to keep up with action at both ends. Sustr's been tremendous though.

Blueger just danced through everyone and score fivehole. What hands...

Teddy Blueger toe-drags defenseman in Datsyuk fashion then sauces a pass over other defenseman to his teammate for goal. Ridiculous play.

@IanAltenbaugh
Blueger is really impressive. Really under the radar pick. Has good size at 18 already.

Making a good first impression from the sounds of it.

It sounds like pretty well. They are doing a 3v3 scrimmage right now in both offensive zones from what I'm reading on Twitter.

Blueger with another nice play, this time a big sauce pass for a goal.

I think I found MonsterSurge's favorite prospect. Garret Ross.

More on that from a quote from #66 I found in the thread after we drafted him...

Haven't been following the prospect camp. Is there any suprise players this year? Or is it mostly the older guys doing well like morrow, despres, harrington, and bennett?

So, trying to think ahead, do we think Uher could make a mark in preseason? Will Bennett stick?

Also, what about (my personal favorite) Kuhnhackl? What's the update on his health? Will he be ready for preseason?

Personally, I'm willing to mark Morrow down as a lock for the team right now. He just looks so much better than anyone else from what I've seen. He's unreal.
