I want a half Ferrari/half unicorn thing.

Ryan would be a great fit...and IMO is the superior player in this trade. We actually had a thread on this earlier in the week, all boils down to what the plus would take on our end. If it's Caron and a 2nd like rumored(THN said asking price was 2nd line center, young wing, high pick) I do it....and I think it makes the B's a better team.

That might have more to do with having both Perry and Getzlaf approaching FA and trying to build a competitive team while working with an internal cap which they are already very close to. The Ducks have wingers, they've struggled to build strength up the middle. A past his prime Koivu was an interesting attempt but doesn't really replace the success they had when Getzlaf and MacDonald were both up the middle. Boston on the other hand is the exact opposite, has built a ton of strength through the middle but is weak when it comes to high end wingers.

A trade that could easily benefit both teams.

No thanks, and personally I'm offened so many fans want to trade away one of our last playmaking centermen, which I might add are very hard to come by these days. Anieheim would win this deal, via getting what they need, Boston would lose via aquiring a player they don't need simple as that.

Only reason I'd do lucic instead of krejci is I would want krejci to pass to Ryan. No way Anaheim does lucic for Ryan lateral move for them IMO.

When some people say "add" to Krejci, I hope it is Caron and not players like Knight and Spooner who have a lot more upside.

Caron + Krejci would be good with me.

Being in Sweden, and rich, he probably has a little more access to them than most?

I really like Krejci, and I really like Ryan, but the B's have more depth at C than W. This could be one of those rare deals that benefit both teams.

That being said I don't add much to Krejci (if anything) in the deal. DK and Ryan are pretty evenly talented players imo.

Bruins have more depth even without Krejci at C (Bergeron, Kelly, Seguin, Peverly, Campbell, Spooner) than they do at wing.

Bergeron and Chara both had more assists than Krejci this year.

Nothing against Spooner, I think he has a ton of potential but he hasn't proved himself yet.

Agreed Joe.

If they're asking Krejci + one of Knight/Spooner/Khoklachev, then no way in hell. But if it's Caron it would be doable.

Ryan and Krejci aren't that far off in terms of age, contract, and skill/talent with each other.

The only way I see this happening is if Chia and co think Seguin can make the push and center the first line.

Don't get me wrong, having a player of that caliber on the team would be immense, but not for what it would cost.

Ya, I think that might have had something to do with Horton missing half the year

Bergeron had sick line mates, I'd argue they were the best second line in the NHL
